Usually any "free trial" is a rip off. Usually any diet and supplement is a rip off.

A BBB search of this company shows an F rating, the lowest possible.

On the companies website however, it does explain how this works..the first paragraph under "FAQ's"

 We have two easy ways to participate in our two week trial.  Simply call 1-888-444-7565 or you can order online here!  We'll send you two cans of the smoothie powder of your choice and you can use one as much as you like for 14 days.  If we don't hear from you, we'll assume you are happy with the product and will complete your order as detailed.  If you aren't satisfied, call us at 1-888-217-5259 within those 14 days for a return authorization code, ship us the sealed second can, and keep your trial can to finish or share with a friend.

So according to the information on their website, they did advise you would have to pay if you didn't return the second can. Granted you had to click around the site a bit to notice how it works, but they did have it there so you are most likely stuck with the crap that does not work. You have to admit if you were more cautious before ordering this product you would have saved some money. It took me all of under a minute to find all the info I posted here.

Were you ripped off? Perhaps, but it was mostly your own fault sorry to say. Now if you have PROOF that you were not past the 14 day deadline, contact the FTC with the proof and maybe you can get a refund. Let this company know you are submitting proof to the FTC and lodging reports on all the consumer complaint blogs. If however you do not have proof it was 14 days or less, I doubt they will fold and issue a refund.

I am sure they make most of their money this way, and not by repeat business.
