I bought tires which was approximately 1600. Missed one payment on Friday and let them know what was goin on from Saturday to Wednesday. Spoke with 2 personnel. On Wednesday I got a call saying my truck was on blocks about to fall. They took my rims which where not theres. And the guy name will said it wasn't his problem that my truck was about to fall and I was in denver at the time. This guy gave my information to 3 different people without my consent. I sent my brother to pay for them which he told him $830 Thursday but charged me $900 friday. They gave him my personal information and my rims without asking for any id. Also they told several customer that came into the store that they picked my rim and tires up violating customer privacy. I will be seeing my lawyer as soon as I get back to mississippi. It will be my personal business since will says it's not his problem either they terminate him or I'm filing a law suit. -anthony Jackson ms

Hi Anthony,

I'm sorry that this ended up as a repossession, it is embarrassing for everyone. I'd like to clarify a few points.  First, the contract you signed, and the bulleted points on the agreement you initialed clearly state that there is no grace period on payments.  Second, the agreement clearly states that you do not acquire ownership until you pay in full, just like a car, house, etc. We do typically call the references you gave us if we cannot contact you directly, but we do not discuss the account.  We ask if they may know how to contact you, and we only ask that they let you know we called if they should speak with you.  We have no control over what they surmise from a phone call. We would like to look into this further to see if any of our policies were not followed.  Please feel free to contact us at the store or corporate office.

Rimtyme is a ripoff

Rimtyme is a rip off. I've had nothing but negative experiences with Spring Lake Nc and Fayetteville Nc locations. They make promises to order wheels that you want and tell you they'll put wheels on your car until the ones that they order for you arrive which is a total fabrication because they have NEVER ordered the wheels but continue lying about it and now you're in a contract for wheels that you didn't want in the first place. I have emails of rims that I sent to them and witnesses during phone calls and store visits where they continually lie and scam consumers and then harass you constantly for their lies

Repossession Due to lack of Payment

AUTHOR: RimTyme Custom Wheels - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, August 01, 2015

Mr. Jones,

The lease to own industry has a "no grace period" policy in which payments have to be made on time. This was explained to you at time of rental. Simply going out of town and neglecting your bills is no excuse. We accept phone payments as well.

We regret that the repossession took place as it costs us time and money to find people that are not paying and I assure you this is our last option.

Since you were leasing only tires from us, we had no choice but to repossess the entire wheel as one cannot separate the tire and wheel in the field.

You sent a relative to pick up the wheels at our location so i assure you that no information was transferred to him that wasn't already known.

Privacy and customer information is a priority at RimTyme and I assure you no personal information was shared with anyone no listed as a reference on your application.

Thank you,

RimTyme Custom Wheels
