 Signed up at Rio Tan for a membership. I was told by attendant that the higher pressure bed would not burn, I stayed 10 minutes. High pressure beds have a greater A ray ratio. A ray beds promote a faster deeper more natural tan and do not burn as easily as beds with higher B ray ratio. After one session my skin was irritated, so on the third day, I went in to the Hoover location Rio Tan (Same Owner) and filled out a cancellation form and left a note as to why I wished to cancel my membership.

With a Rio Tan membership, you can alternate locations anyway. Thought at this point that everything was taken care of. Three months later I noticed that my bank account was still being drafted by Rio Tan. I then called the store where I filled out the cancellation form and spoke with Mary the owner, who informed me that I had insisted on tanning longer than I should and that I refused to listen to the attendant. I only met this attendant once.  Mary also said that she was a lawyer. 

What Mary did not know is that I have owned a Wolfe forever tan bed, and I am very familiar with my skin and how easily I tan! In my bed with the strongest bulbs, I never burned unless I tanned consecutively for 2-3 days with absolutely no exposure. Also I do not burn easily in natural sunlight and once I have a base tan, I can go to any Coastal beach, stay out the entire day without burning.

I have picture of myself to prove it at anyone's request.  My money was never refunded, and I did put a stop-payment on my bank account that day. The package that I had purchased was $79.00 a month and Rio Tan got 3 months worth for one tanning session.  I did file a complaint with the BBB and got a false reaponse from Ms. Mary.
