To whom it may concern,

Eroticy is a RIPOFF!!! I recently rejoined Eroticy and was BANNED 2 days before my Eroticy membership was to expire!! First let me say, I did NOT have a problem with Eroticy changing their user agreement, nor that some of their profiles were not REAL people. I had ONLY come back to Eroticy to chat with the friends I had made. While in a private conversation with another Eroticy member, the Chat Moderator PM-d me to tell me I did not know what I was talking about, and to stop my discussion. Let's think about this for one moment. I'm in a private conversation, joking with a friend of mine, and only the two of us 'get' the private joke, why would Eroticy care?? Is this how they treat new customers??

I have to say I enjoyed chatting with my friends, and playing the weekly Eroticy games on Wednesday nights. But on many occasions, we would be harassed by a user during the games. I have no interest in hearing about someone wanting to play with my dead flesh...in Eroticy OR elsewhere, and neither do MOST Eroticy members!!! Yet I was warned NOT to harass this individual while I and others were trying to play a game...a room specifically created for gaming.

It's true that you're not allowed to use words like PAID or UNREAL or FAKE, and censorship prevails on the Eroticy membership boards as well, all for my 21.95 a month fee!!! Interestingly enough, it is NOT about the CONTENT of your speech, unless you are criticizing the site! You can make any rude, grotesque, or suggestive comment to any Eroticy member as long as you DO NOT say anything negative about Eroticy itself, nor discuss any other website, no matter how benign, nor talk about anyone who has left or has been banned by Eroticy.

Two days prior to my decision to leave Eroticy for good, I had told my friends in the chatroom lobby about my decision and I was careful NOT to make any derogatory comments about the site. My friends wanted to keep in touch, as did I. Some shared email addresses in private, but I was warned by the Chat Moderator about doing so. Let's think about this. I'm not a disgruntled customer at that time, I have a large group of chat friends, and most of the new people who come into Eroticy have asked me what I thought about Eroticy. You would think Eroticy, would value my input as a customer, because I was always upbeat and positive.

I had also wished to remove my profile and pictures from Eroticy's site, and now I fear that my profile may be used by Eroticy, to dupe other Eroticy members into believing I am still a member, although I have no way of confirming this, since I cannot login to Eroticy, nor has Eroticy responded to my requests!!!

This is a site which boasts more than two million members, according to Eroticy, but I never observed more than just over 100 members at one time in Eroticy's chat room!!!

I keep up with almost two dozen people who have been banned by Eroticy, and none of them have been given a specific reason as to why they were banned, other than the generic 'You have violated the Terms of Agreement'. These people do not even know what they did to get banned, for the most part. Some have 5 months or more left on their subscription, and were never offered reimbursement. I was banned from Eroticy two days prior to my membership expiration date. I was chatting in the Eroticy lobby, and an Eroticy member told me to go read a post about me in the Eroticy chat boards. When I did, the message came up stating I was banned, however, I was still logged into Eroticy's chat room lobby!!!

Okay, I paid for a service, and Eroticy decided they were NOT going to fulfill that service. I do not have a problem with Eroticy's decision to ban me or any Eroticy member for whatever reason Eroticy decides, however, if you pay for a service and the company chooses not to fulfill that service, they are obligated by law, to refund that portion of the service they did not provide. It is called 'pro-rated' service, and it is an illegal practice by Eroticy to keep or attempt to keep these funds from paying Eroticy customers. The phone company, the electric company, your ISP MUST pro-rate your service when that service is terminated! It's no different with any other legitimate business!

I'm not looking for any form of response here from anyone other than Eroticy or Lisa Martin, Eroticy's Customer Service Representative.

If you are a prospective customer of Eroticy, understand that the 'Terms of Agreement' are so broad and generic that you will be at the whim of Eroticy's Chat or Board Moderators, and you can be banned at any time from Eroticy without a specific reason. I do not know of anyone who has been reimbursed by Eroticy at this time.
