Huntington Beach, CaliforniaI was actually charged over USD $450 for a confirmed reservation that was supposed to be under USD $300. Then accused of a scratch to the bumper which was billed and additional USD $600. Advantage Rent-A-Car (San Antonio) management is un-responsive to letters mailed to them questioning and protesting these charges. Their customer service is also non-responsive.
This is a very dishonest company and should be avoided. Agents take, alter, and the customer is billed for items not on the original rental contract. This branch of Advantage looks forward to ripping off tourists-- especially those from the US or who don't speak French. Read the negative experiences of others on E-opinins or with consumer bureaus on the Internet.
Don't be lured by a low reservation rate. Advantage Rent-A-Car and their foreign agents like Autowise should be put out of business.
