York, PAHow stupid do I feel. The local paper had a job opportunity that was to good to be true(should have been my first clue). The ad said they were looking for an office assistant so I called the next day. Troy, the man who answered said that the position had been filled but hold on a minute he would check into something for me. So I waited on hold for a few seconds and when he came back,low and behold, there was an opening for a work at home position.
Well, I couldn't have been happier it's what I was looking for to begin with. And I had heard of other people doing the same thing. Medical billing. SOunds simple enough what do I do?
The only hitch was I had to supply the software and computer if I didn't already have it. Well I had the computer and I figured a $300 investment for the software would be well worth it. Then I was told that if I wanted they could get me the software at a 10 percent discount directly through the manufacturer. All the while being told that there was a 30 day guarantee that wouldn't even start until after my first assignment was completed. There would also be a 1-800 customer service number and they would help me with ANY difficulties including set up. None of the jobs would be less than $15 per hour. And the jobs were already secured for me.
So I bought it. I get the software. I load it without any problems. I thought.
There is no 1-800 number but there is a phone number for a customer care center. 310-397-7673 Monday through Friday 9:30-2:30 PST.
Well I went to run the 'demo' on the software it's not there.
I looked into the text files for more information there is a list of doctor's for me to contact and forms to send for me to get the contracts from the doctor's.
OK, right now the bells and whistles have been going off for awhile. So I call the customer care center, BUSY. After that every try went unanswered except for a machine that says I'm sorry I can't take your call right now please try again.
I have called 85 times over a 6 day period and never got an answer. Now I know I'm screwed. Who do I call, what do I do? Help me get my money back, please!!!
