Jan 2002- I received a call from a telemarketer ,they say 1-5-02 ,their confirmation packet says 1-7-02. The representative was very fast talking & I thought it would be a trial subscription that I could cancel if I wasn't satisfied. I work odd hours & alot of overtime so my days off are limited & I spend most of them doing daily chores & such - mail stacks until I have time to read it especially if it is not a bill.

Today 1-30-02, I opened a packet from this company & discovered I was out of luck according to them to cancel this subscription since they state I had '3 days from receipt of this agreement or 10 days from the date of this agreement'by completing their form & returning it .

Then it gones on to state,Or you may utilize your state's,Texas's,recession right which is anytime in the absence of writing;send the same form or one of your choosing. I called CMS to advise that I did want to cancel the service ,I haven't received anything-no magazines -of course I have been charged one payment $49.92 on my credit card ,but that's not the point -point is I changed my mind, buyers remorse , & feel I should have been given a suitable amount of time to request a cancellation -especially since I have not received anything yet .

The representative told me I couldn't cancel it but it was my right under law to request that my credit card no longer be charged & so I did so,so I should be getting a lump sum bill for the balance in the mail which I told him I will refuse to pay , I did call one of the magazines - she claimed they still didn't have my subsciption but suggested I keep calling them back to cancel it thru each magazine -& so I will. This way I shouldn't receive any magazines & with no product how can they justify a billing .
