Rising Phoenix Mastiff Rescue Yakima Washington

 I made arrangements to adopt a young healthy mastiff through rising Phoenix. I had seen photos of the dog and was told she was in excellent health. I drove 250 miles to meet this woman at a gas station to get the dog. When she opened the back of her vehicle, my heart sank. This was not the dog I was told about. She was very ill, emaciated, weak and apparently terrified. I had to take her to safe her from this woman. When I brought her to the vet the health issues were endless to the tune of thousands of dollars. I attempted contacting her several times and she denied having lied to me. I could not keep the dog for risk of making my other dog ill. I donated her to a mastiff rescue group who nursed her back to health and she was adopted by a woman who already had adopted a mastiff in a similar situation. I made a police report, the yakima law enforcement was very familiar with rising Phoenix and the shady, unhealthy, harmful 'business ' they are conducting. Hindsight is always 20/20 but why did she have me meet her at a gas station for a dog adoption? ? My heart breaks for these mistreated, neglected, ill animals. She needs to be stopped IMMEDIATELY!
