Work was done to install a drain system in the basement. Work was guaranteed in writing that as long as I or the next subsequest homeowner owned the house, their installed system would control all penetrating water to the entire subsoil wall and floor area where a pressure relief system had been installed. There was also a lifetime guarantee on the pump to include labor which is also all in writing. Their website also states they have a lifetime money back guarantee as well.


Yesterday my entire finished basement sustained 6+ inches of water and destroyed everything we had just remodeled. I called the company to see if they would in any way honor their "written" warantees and guarantees. They would not ever. I was told that if I wanted to seek additional action beyond my phone call to any legal or government entities, that their lawyer was on "speed dial and to feel free to do so".


It is now 2 weeks before Christmas and most of the presents are destroyed.....

As Mr. Thompson wrote in his original report, "work was guaranteed to control all penetrating water to the entire subsoil wall and floor where a pressure relief system had been installed." Key word is "where the pressure relief system had been installed." Unfortunately, this customer only wanted to waterproof 2 of the 4 basement walls even though they disclosed their concerns about flooding due to the high water table their home was located on. Job was installed in 2007 and we went back to customers home 4 times between 2007-2009. Because we honor our guarantee and we value our quality of work, we installed vapor-barrier on the walls to control any water intrusion from above--for free. We even installed an additional pump in the container to try to help the system do its job correctly--again no charge to the customer. Each time we visited the customer to address his concerns we insisted he have our system installed around the entire perimeter of his basement-not just two walls.
 
We cannot guarantee water will not enter the home in a place we did not install our system. There is a lifetime guarantee on our sump pumps. We go above and beyond the 1 year manufacturers warranty and take full responsibility for our work. We are an A+ Accredited BBB member with PA and NJ. We also have an outstanding record with Angie's List members and have won the prestigious "Super Service Award" four years in a row. 
 
Unfortunately, this customer did not want to have his basement waterproofed the right way and therefore he still took on water in his basement. We offered our best price to do the entire basement and the customer declined. We have been in business for 23 years and obviously we are doing something right. If the customer would have taken our professional advice his Christmas presents wouldn't have been destroyed.
