River District Apartments Unprofessional, profit driven, disrespectful, self centered and unconcerned about the renter. Rockford Illinois

 I made a call to a telephone number in regards to an ad about an apartment for rent. A person by the name of Mark answered. I asked him if the apartment was still available for rent. He said it was and then started questioning me about how much money I make and how soon I would be able to put a deposit down on the rental property. I told him that I would like to see the apartment first before I could be sure. He then started ranting about how he was not going to come and drive all over Rockford and show apartments to people who say they like the apartment but not put a deposit down because if someone else likes the apartment, then he will rent it to them but only if they put a deposit down first! He said he wasn't going to waste his time and gas to deal with people like that! Weird right! ?? So I said to him sounds like you are in this only for a profit and I am not going to guarantee you a deposit without seeing the apartment first and that I never get a response like this when dealing with Property owners. He just hung up on me! SO RENTERS BEWARE! Mark Mercer is in it only for the money. He is very unprofessional, rude, and self absorbed.
