I JUST saw the report on channel three. . .before I tell my story a word of advice to the owners of Riverside. . . CLOSE UP AND FIND A NEW LINE OF WORK, I am SO glad these con artists are exposed - my story (which seems to be one of many) - my father was looking for a Subaru Outback he found one at Riverside Motors in Beacon Falls (they have since been run out of town and have relocated to Waterbury), my father went to Riverside to look at the car . . liked it. . .but did not like a ticking sound the engine was making. . .he was assured that it was just an "adjustment" and that if he wanted the car he would need to leave a $2,000 deposit (I think the purchase price was $3,995), and to come back on Friday and the car would be fixed and IN WRITING he had a contract that is the ticking was NOT fixed he would get his deposit back, so he went back on Friday and of course it was not fixed . . here is where it went wrong. . he was told "all deposits are non-refundable", he showed his contract and was laughed at and was told he was out of luck, now he has no car AND he is out $2,000. . .now what I did not mention is that my father works at an auction where these scumbags buy these lemons they sell , I also work part time as a buyer for a car lot I also attend this same auction, we FIGURED that he would not pull such stunt with people that were "in the business" , my personal opinion is that there was always something very odd the buyers from Riverside (Joe and Christian) they ALWAYS came late (never looked at the cars to check for issues, flaws) they would slip in at the last minute and always hid behind dark glasses) especially the son, he is tall, sneaky and and clearly appears  to be a homosexual (actually they both do). . .so anyway we tried for a WEEK to get our money back 100's of calls . . all unanswered, they would actually pick up the phone and hang up, so (through a connection) I got one of their cell phone numbers and started calling NON-STOP starting at 11:00pm. . .redial. . redial. . .redial. . .redial. . .FINALLY one of them picked up and told me that we would NEVER get our money and to stop calling. . .AND that his family was involved in the mafia / organized crime and that I WOULD BE KILLED IF I CALLED HIM ANYMORE. . . so we INSTANTLY called the CT State Police. . . .needless to say within 24 hours we had our refund. . . if you watch the report on Channel 3 you can see the look of despair on his face, these guys are so disgusting and should just disappear. . . . . they make us sick
