I bought a car from Rives they told me that if I had any problems they would " Take care' of it" .From the first day the problems got worse and worse until it was unsafe to drive. they told me that they would not repaitr it. So i paid 4600.00 and i have nothing ... by the way they reapired the car and put it back on the lot for another person to RIP off.

"we have one street light"
Salisbury had many streetlights and traffic signals when I was there twenty years ago. Why did they remove all but one?
"I have it on recording when the sales personb told me that 'if I had any problems they would take care of it'"
Taking care of something and fixing something for free is not the same thing. Apparently you misunderstood the statement. Avoiding misunderstandings is why contracts and warranties are written.
What is the answer to Jim's question, "Did you buy it "AS IS" and sign a disclosure statement to that effect?"

This is a rural area where a persons word is law . You may not remeber those days we have one street light that only comes on when the fire truck pulls out . Yes there is still places like that...the fact of the matter is I have it on recording when the sales personb told me that " if I had any problems they would take care of it' You think that would stand up in court I think so.... No matter where you work...or live

Warranty?

Did you have a written warranty when you bought this car? Did you buy it "AS IS" and sign a disclosure statement to that effect? The discloser statement...which you should have read...tells you an "AS IS" purchase means YOU are NOT ENTITLED to free warranty service. No, I don't work for them.
