My husband and I went to rk on January 25 and purchased a used vehicle and they were aware that we were on a budget. The dealer (johnnie) had shown us some vehicles and he went ahead and did a credit check on my husband. johnnie needed some info and so we put the $1000.00 cash on the desk so i could retrieve some info out of my purse.

johhnie took it upon himself to pick the money up and hold on to it. so when we were done looking i told him we would go home and think on it. so after 4 hours of trying to get our money back and leave he goes and gets the manager.

i told him the same thing and he insisted that this other vehicle was in great running shape. his words exactly nothing wrong with the car other than what we were told was wrong. the manager looked at us dead in our face and said nothing was wrong at all. to humor him we went to look at this vehicle and indeed only things wrong were the brakes , windshield, which they replaced there).

a couple of days later the car starts overheating. so we spent money on this new thermestat, needed an oil change of course, and a coolant exchange. everything was fine for a day then same problem again.

we took the car in today to get a dialysis and there is estimated of 1500.00 worth of damage that could not be seen by the buyer. leaking headgasket, coolant sensor bad, few other things. so we went to rk to talk with the manager and he said that since we signed an as-is form that we are responsible.

i told him something needed to be done cause the car is not drivable And theres payments to be made on it march 11TH. I know they have to look at it before selling it to figure out how much to sell it for.

the manger said thats how they make their money and that he will talk to "his" manager and will call us back on monday which he made it sound like he wont. i am going to inform them monday that i will file a complaint with the bbb, i will find a lawyer who will take this case, and i have already e-mailed wavy tv 10 about this situation and waiting response. theres really so much more to this to explain but it will take a very long time.

What year is the car, how many miles are on it? Leaving out those details makes the reader wonder about the true facts of the situation. Thermostats need to be replaced, gaskets leak, that's the nature of machines. Did you have the car looked at by a third-party mechanic, not affiliated with the dealership, who could give an impartial opinion on the car. Leaking gaskets and bad thermostats usually don't start overnight. If the car was old enough, or had mileage on it, these could have been going on for some time, and an experienced mechanic doing a pre-purchase inspection would know to look for signs of leaking.

And, I agree with the manager, you bought the car as-is, as most used cars are sold that way. If you didn't note a problem with the car before you bought it, and there's no warranty on the car, they're not responsible.

And, why would you take a car in for dialysis? Dialysis is what you give people who have kidneys that don't work the way they should.
