R.M. Coats Construction Company is a Thief, a Liar , a Ripoff Artist and Loans out his Business License to other companies.

I met Robert Coats throiugh a mutual friend who is in the Construction Industry The contract called for the installation of an Elkevator in a NEW Large home being built by R.M. Coats, Inc, who at the time had a Tampa Division at 6804 Harbor View Way, Tampa, Fl. 33615 and was a General Contractor with a Contract # of: 062065. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, They are thieves, Liars and you will NEVER GET PAID for the work you do.

Prior to May 2008 and final delivery oif the installation, Precesion Elevator was approach by Robert M. Coats of R.M. Coats Construction as well as by a DON PIPPEN and a Keith Lampley both who were employed by R.M. Coats. Precision Elevator was "authorized " to install an elevator at 561 DolphinAvenue S.E. in St. Petersburg, Florida. A contract was "signed" and work was started and completed by Preciusion Elevator.

After the completion of the jon, and numerous bills were remitted, nothing was getting Paid. Numerous calls were made, numerous invoices remitted and stilkl nothing was paid.

THE FRAUD:

It was later found out that Robert M. Coats of R.M. Cioats had LOANED out his license to Keith Lampley who had started to erect the residential home .  Keith Lampley had no license, no construction background, and decided one day that he was going to get involved with a construction project but had no icense, no poermits and hadn't a vlue where to get them. Keith Lampley then approached Robert Coats and made a deal with Mr. Coats to use his License, His Company name and reputation, and his bacground. Mr. Lampley then opened a bank account undere R.M. Coats Construction documents to take the draws, deposit the draws and clear the checks.

The Conspiracy to Defraud:

Mr. Coats and Keith Lampley worked together on this crime. Mr. Coats was to get a fee structure oiff the project but did no work, and allowed Keith Lampley to proceed using his credentials. It seems however Keith Lampley started receiving draws from the bank -p homeowner and eventually according to Mr. Coats walked off the job with a substantial amount of money and never completed the job. It seems not only did PRECISION ELEVATOR SEVICES not get Paid, but that the project came to a sceaching halt and Mr. Robert Coats was threatened with a Lawsuit bgy t5he owner oif the poropertty. According to Mr. Coats, he was forced to go bgack to the project and finish numerous projects that Keith Lampley left behind when he decided to run off with the money.

Continuous Request for Payment:

Precision Elevator continued to bill R.M. Coats from May 2008 until May 5, 2010 the date of this document and for over two years has been stalled and stalled and stalled by Robert Coats and his company. Mr. Coats has claimed he is in difficult finances and had the GALL to tell PRECISION ELEVATOR SERVICES he has to liuve and will take care of himself first before he can pay off his debt. Mr. Coats is a Thief to say the least. He knowingly contributed to the Fraud of Loaning out his Business License to Keith Lampley, knowingly knew Mr. Lampley had NO prior construction background, allowed funds to flow into a bank account that Keith Lampley now controled, and SCREWED the subs who worked hard on the project and got "nothing" .

Mr. Coats has been contacted by PRECISION ELEVATOR SERVICES fror the past 18 months to no avail. Mr. Coats has been contacted by other [eople in behalf of PRECISION ELEVATOR SERVICES and has ducked every attempt to even respond to numerous telephone calls and letters.  Mr. Coats owes PRECISION ELEVATOR SERVICES some $14,500 in service fees. To show you what kind of person Mr Coats is, PRECISION ELEVATOR Services even offered Robert Coats - R.M. Coats Construction a payment plan of $1,000.oo per month on the remaing balance. To date this thief, liar, manipulator, and con artist has still to make any restitution.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MAN OR THE COMPANY. He is an embarrassment to the industry. He is without a doubt out for himself. Even with the poayment schedule offer of only $1,000.00 a month, Mr. Coats does not have the decency, the pride, the respect, to pay the people he has contributed to ripoffr any restitution.

I do not believe it is in your best interest to hire this company or be a sub-contractor for R.M. Coats in any capacity. You may never see youyr money after the hard work you may put in.

Follow-up:

I have personally notified the following bureau and reported Robert M. Coats and his company for the fraud committed by giiving out his liucense to others. According to a statement bgy the agency below he could lose his license, have it suspended and fined. Maybe that will prevent him for committing additional fraud in the future.
