I bought a transmission for my truck from Roadmastertranz. I bought it off E-Bay because it looked like a good deal, the warranty looked good, and they were just down the road. The first way they screw you is on the core deposit, you will not get it all back. They will claim there are hard parts damaged and charge you for them. They want you to not only buy a new tranny from them but they also want you to pay to fix the old one you send them too. If you call and complain they will tell you that you agreed to it because they list this screw in the fine print of their sales contract. They also push you real hard to place positive feed back on E-Bay before you discover this rip off. I was told by two reputable tranny shops that it is non sense to expect a customer to pay for damaged hard parts in a core because the reason you are buying a new tranny is because the old one is bad. I was told if a tranny shop tells you that run away fast.

The second thing they will do to screw you is the warranty. When you see the tranny listed on E-Bay it says it has a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. When you get the paperwork with the actual tranny the warranty will say that it is a 30 day 3000 mile warranty. I was told this is because the tranny I bid on Ebay for is not the same tranny I got. When I actually ordered the transmission, I had up grades done to it to make it better.
So rather than give you the warranty they advertise they give you a junk warranty to keep you from getting any type of warranty work from them.

When you call to order your tranny they will be the nicest people you ever met. When you call to try to find out about your core charge they will turn into the biggest jerks you ever met. Call to tell them the truth about the junk they sell and they will threaten to sue you.

The transmission they sold me never worked proper. After I installed it in my truck I went on vacation and by the time I got back their 3000 mile switched warranty was done. I called them to try to get some help with the tranny but was told thast it was not there junk tranny that was at fault, that I must of done something wrong.
I took the tranny thay sent me to a local tranny shop along with the ad from Roadmaster and the work they claim they do on all trannies. I was told that besides the nice paint they put on there trannies that the unit they sold me was never rebuilt and had over 100,000 miles on it. I will never buy anything from them again
