About 2 months ago, I was called by a foreign gentleman that wanted to sell me a great offer on a 0% fixed credit card. I gave them my checking account # and they removed the 29.95 that they required. I asked if there was a fee. The answer was no.

A week later, I received INFORMATION only regarding all the benefits of this company. About 3 weeks ago, my bank notified me that I had bounced 3 checks to the tune of $20 a piece. The companies then notified me that I owed them $30 for the bounced checks, PLUS what I owed them. The Friday after this, I visited with my bank, and they found $99 had been removed by someone. They called the main branch, found out that it had been removed by this 866 #, I came home and immediately reported this to the so called company. They told me it would be 2-15 working days for an investigation.

First of all, let me tell you, the # that I originially called--866-888-9157 had a recording. It says something like "if you have had $99 eroneously taken from your account please call ......... Well I had to call another # and when I did, there was a recording with no company name. In the mean time, the bank said since I had bounced the checks, they would not refund the #20. They said that the money was taken electronically and nothing could be done.

Called the company back 2 times in one day about 3 days ago, they said that all I would be getting would be the $99. I explained nicely that this mistake on their part would be costing me close to 600, possible revocation of my STNA license, and jail time. They basically said tough s**t. Finally, I called this company back, asked for the supervisor, got the same answer, and told him he'd hear from my lawyer, who I promptly called. When he called back, he says that this is a good class action suit and that they are misrepresenting many companies and using our checking accounts.

When I talked to the bank, they wanted me to close out my checking account, not write checks for a week to 10 days (which is impossible for me) and open a new account because they think that these people will continue to do this to me and others. But the bank will not replace the 20 dollars for each bounced check and they will not admit that they are wrong
