There are many tree services out there, but becareful of Rob Hall of "Monkey Business" or Advanced Tree Experts.  This is not to be confused with the LLC that has the same name. This business is not with the BBB either. 

I didn't want to leave this report, but I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.  It's not just the disapppointment that Rob Hall never came back to finish the job but that we had used him before and actually trusted him.  Long story short, we had used him before (our neighbor had recommended him) to remove a large branch that had fallen. The tree was dying and eventually would have to be removed.  He did a good job the first time, so last September we decided to use him again.  He preferred cash so we paid him in full on the last day. All that was left to do was cut the stump down and remove all the branches.  He still had a Bobcat in the yard so we knew he would have to return.

He never came back (except to retrieve his Bobcat, obviously). My husband left several messages.  He never replied.  Finally when we texted him that the city wanted to charge us 90$ to remove the branches, he said not to do that and that he would be back.  Time passed, and still nothing. Again, my husband tried contacting him.  Rob finally replied stating that he'd "lost money" on this job, even though that was not our fault.  He offered to return 90$ to cover the city's expense.  We support small business. We certainly didn't want him to do that. We just wanted him to finish the job. 

It is now almost February.  How sad is it that a person's word isn't enough anymore.  A handshake isn't good enough. What happened to honesty and integrity?  Even when the business and personal reputation are on the line, they still won't do the right thing. 

I wish I could have recommended Rob Hall's tree service business to all my friends and family.  Instead, I'm forced to write a complaint. If you ever need a tree service you might want to think twice before hiring Rob Hall.  He is not a man of his word.
