I was employed by Cynthia Sweeley to work for Menu Master as an outside sales agent from 2007 to early 2009.  It all seemed easy and simple, selling ads to local businesses for menus and place mats.  I was given restaurants to sell on and collected the ads and checks and sent them in to the main office.  All went well for about 6 months.  Then the place mats quit coming.  The ads had been sold out for 13 weeks and there were no place mats in any of the restaurants.  I was getting calls from my advertisers everyday asking when their ad would be printed and angry restaurant owners wondering when they would get their place mats.   I would call the main office with their concerns and was told to stall them and that the place mats would be out soon.   Soon I was living in fear of answering my phone, afraid it was another irate customer or restaurant owner and me not having an answer for them.  Things went on like this for months, all the time Cynthia was demanding more and more sales from me each month.  At the spring of this year I was instructed to sell ads on every menu and placemat for every restaurant I was assigned, even the ones we were waiting for place mats on!  I did what I was told until the stress from dealing with unsatisfied customers, annoyed restaurant owners and Mrs. Sweeleys ever increasing demands became too much for me and I finally had to quit.  I instructed all my previous customers that I had resigned from Menu Master and they should call the main office with their concerns.  It was an enormous burden lifted off of my shoulders and I thought that the nightmare was finally over.  I was wrong.   3 months after leaving Menu Master, the menus and place mats still havent been made and now all of my previous customers are getting letters saying that Menu Master is filing for bankruptcy and theyre coming to me about getting them their money back.  I tried calling the main office to find out what the heck was going on and the phones are disconnected.  I tried email and every one of my emails got sent back to me as undeliverable.   I find out that the business has been failing for years and is now bankrupt.  I feel like I have been used to manipulate all these businesses to which I sold ads, to make one last score for these people before they filed for bankruptcy and sneak off with their ill gotten gains like thieves in the night, leaving my a*s on the line to answer to the angry mob.  She forced me to sell more ads on menus and placemats she had no intention on printing.  Now, all these people theyve cheated, are coming after me.    I can hardly leave my house for fear of running into someone these people cheated.  My phone rings non-stop with calls from advertisers wanting their money back and threatening to sue me.  My husband and I have to travel out of town to eat because I cant show my face in any local restaurant, because of the shame I feel for what Menu Master did to them.  This whole thing with Menu Master has been a complete disaster and I struggle everyday to put this shameful and embarrassing experience behind me.  Their deceitful way of conducting business has runined my reputation and has made me a mark for everyone they've cheated.  I hope this report will save someone else the shame and disgrace I've had to got through, thanks to these people.
