Robert Thanh Wu This property manager for sec. 8 apartments on Aniani Pl in Waipahu ripped me off for 5.5 hours work. Tenants had warned me about him, now I'm warning you. Don't work for him. Waipahu Hawaii

I did some handyman work for Robert Thanh Wu in 3 of his Sec.8 apartments on Aniani Place in Waipahu over the course of a few months. Residents warned me that he had not paid 3 other workers before me. First couple of jobs went ok. But last job was was for around 18 hours (complete repairing and painting of entire apt., plus new doors, locksets, outlet faceplates, etc. He said he would be out of town, so wanted me to purchase supplies out of my own pocket ($306.00), and he would reimburse me when he returned.

I submitted bill to him, and he had all kinds of excuses of why he was short on money (renters not paying on time etc.) After a month, I finally got most most of it from him, but he still has not paid me around $130 remaining on bill. I don't expect to ever see it, but wanted any other workers to be aware of this guy. 

He has a bad reputation, and after hours of emails back and forth, I really do question his mental stability. 

He has 3 buildings on the short street of Aniani Place. The first blue building is his, and the other two are towards the end of the street, with around 8 buildings total on the street (his are all on the left hand side).

His business card says his company is Asian Pacific Consulting, but couldn't find any listing of such company on any Hawaii government business listings. Business card also says address is a Mililani P.O. box. His phone # is 808-292-8888. Email adress is Roberttwu@yahoo.com. 

I'll be letting residents in that area know that he ripped me off also.

He found me on Craigslist, and he is the only trouble I've ever encountered from there. Not sure if he has other properties he manages, but be very aware if this guy ever contacts you to do work from him. You've been warned!
