So this guy claims to be a saint but he contradicts himself 4 times on his rebuttal???. Also he admits that the accusations about the online chat are true but it wasn't him????. Am I missing something here? user mannie is right about this chap mentioning his family values over and over. As an ex-police officer I can tell you that scum like this always declare their steady life and family values. Even when they are getting arrested their first words are something like trying to deflect heat. My name is Mannie Perez and I'm a former employee of American Airlines in Miami. I've known Roberto Sobenis for a few years now. We worked together for almost one year. I have to confess that although I'm in extreme shock after learning about the allegations against him I'm somehow relieved for knowing that someone has made an attempt to bring this guy to the open. I don't know anything about the facts that were reflected by the user named Leon on his report however I can testify that I've known of similar stories in the past involving Roberto's wrongdoing. Some of these stories came directly from him when he used to brag about his out of marriage affairs in panama and the U.S. and his addiction to what he called barely legal girls. I believe the story that was originally posted on this website is true. It definitely sounds like him and also I can add to the mix several other testimonies. Several months before he was terminated because of the forging check deal Roberto was confronted by management on allegations from couple of girls calling in American Airlines and reporting him as a player or a bad boyfriend. The funny part is that he was married and with kids so I guess that management gave him the benefit of the doubt. I once had to deal with one of these girls myself when she approached the AA desk where I was working at. She was VERY upset and with tears on her eyes when she learned that Roberto was married.

Roberto was also confronted on the fact that he would take off in the middle of his shifts or asked other employees to cover for him continuously. Most of the times Roberto told us that these were secret escapes to meet with beautiful girls that he had met online or during his trips to panama. I remember that people used to call in asking for "Roberto Sobenis VP of Operations" when he was just a ramp agent like everyboy else. Roberto had also a lot of issues with female personnel in general but I don't believe that the female employees ever filed a complain against him or if they did it went nowhere. Roberto has a talent. He speaks and presents himself very good and can easily get out of trouble by just talking people out of it. I know you all are going to ask why am I writing this. Well I was somehow wrongly involved in one of his stupid issues. Last year I received a phone call on my cell from a private investigator that was apparently trying to find out Roberto's whereabouts.

He indicated to me that he was hired by someone that Roberto had really hurt and that any information on his whereabouts would be rewarded. I did not want to intervene but I really got pissed off after the fact that I could be linked to this guy just because we were coworkers and drinking buddies in the past. Something else that bothers me is that everybody knows that Roberto left the country because of all his problems with law enforcement. It is funny that after he posted himself a response on this website a lot of "people" started vouching for him. Something else that bothers me is that he always uses his family wife and three daughters when he writes. You all know what he is trying to do. He is trying to look like a family man when he is far away from that. Of course that his lawyer is going to speak well on his behalf. That's his job! Isn't it? Roberto: Stop playing victim and confront your situation. You have a problem man and you know it. Sooner or later is going to catch up with you. My advice to you dude is that there are groups out there that can help you to get your life back on track. I don't think you are a bad dude but this is what happens when you play with fire. The silliest part, is that they had a first name and last name, Why didn't they go to the police? I quickly went to the newspaper the MIAMI HERALD and reported this unwrongfull doing, because if they hired me in 1995 knowing that, why in 2003 they want to take my life and my carrer away from me. I also went to the governor of Florida in WASHINGTON, DC and placed my complaint. Finally on December 2004 I won the appeal and my Customs ID was returned to me.

I quickly recieved more comendations for jobs well done and continued performing my duties at the Miami Airport.

I also went through another background and finger print check on February 2005.

(So if i was running from anyone or hidding or what ever acusations this people on this page made, why did I pass the finger print once again).

I also have toll receipts and visa credit card gas station receipts stating the time and day that i was outside my home at that time of the chat conversation.

I was playing from 1030 am till 5pm that day and i have all the witnesses and receipts in the world to proof so.

My lawyer and i showed all this to the miami police and told us that someone is out to destroy my name.

I proceed with a law suit to the perverted justice web site and they agree with all my evidence. Now on October of last year the person ia attacking me once again by placing these accusations on the internet.

I'm here to tell the truth about all these false accuasations. I met Roberto at Milton Florida in a Christian School, he was always an excellent student and person to be around. I'am also friends with his first wife and mother of his kids. He has three beautiful daughters which he'll do anything for them. He graduated from school and moved to Miami where we also went to school together. I could say this about him, he was never a perfect guy for relationships however he's more than a good father.

I'am totally in shock about how can people be so cruel and tell so many lies about someone just to try to ruin there reputation. If any of these alligations are close to being true then why if Roberto had been working for American Airlines in Miami over eight years and people claim that they've been looking for him while he worked for a high secury agency, all you need to do is walk up to the airport find him, go to the police, and file a case against him. Which has not been done because all of these accusations are not true.

I previously had the wrong information. We are working with Telemundo News Network not dateline NBC, since they are an NBC affiliated company my wife and I thought that they were from dateline. Regardless they are doing an awesome job. I will keep all of you posted.
