Rockauto LLC.com Shipped wrong product, refused full reimbursement of cost, shipping Madison Wisconsin
Ordered "window lift" for Ford Windstar. Supplied all information requested by Rockauto.
Order received promptly.
Submitted winddow lift to mechanic for replacement.
Mechanic reported that wrong window lift was supplied by Rockauto. Mechanic was forced to go to Napa to obtain correct replacement.
Contacted Rockauto and asked for return instructions and requested rebate of full cost of unit ($30.78).
Rockauto repesentative stated that I should have informed then that I needed the lift motor with the "aluminum case".
I received a non-interchangable lift motor with a "black plastic" case.
This "style" information was not requested by Rockauto when the order was replaced.
Nevertheless, the Rockauto representative suggested that it was my error because I should have volunteered the style information (apparently Ford used two different window lifts that model year).
Rockauto insisted that, to get any rebate at all, I had to ship the window lift back at my expense and, when they received it in good order, the they would credit me with the cost of the lift ($18.31) but not the shipping costs (either way).
