What a GENIUS company! What a SCAM!! Look carefully at your telephone bill, no matter what company you have. I have
Verizon, and shame on them for allowing this criminal company to have access to my personal phone bill. This is how their scam
goes. Rocket Communications ESBI takes a random phone # that "somehow" given to them around the same time you sign up
for your phone service OR you renew or upgrade your contract. They attach a $12.95 per month charge to YOUR phone bill if you don't have 3rd Party Billing Blocking on your phone. (I didn't even know such a charge could happen, let alone, know about the block). So, "coincidentally" this charge starts appearing on your monthly bill and it is buried around page 4-6. You pay your bill as you do each month and since the charge is relatively low, you don't notice it each month until you decide to audit your bill more closely when you have time. I wasn't even auditing my bill for the ROCKET COMMUNICATIONS ESBI charge, I was auditing it for the Vietnamese chanel I was being charged on my Verizon bundle account... But that's a whole separate RIP OFF REPORT.
Then once you do notice, and mine when un-noticed for 11 months, they will tell you that they can only issue you a credit for 3 months back, and that we should have notified them sooner on the error charges. Wow, that is a lot of $$ they are making... Billions every year on this scam of a company that is reported all over the internet as fraudulent, and yet Verizon and AT&T etc. allows them to bill on your acct. Verizon told me to take it up with the FCC.
Plus, someone at Rocket Communications ESBI does answer, but it's the "cancelations" dept. and the customer service reps are trained to deal with this all day. Level headed and courteous, they want to immediately appease you and will issue you a cancelation ID# and a refund amount (for 3 months). They don't care, they have made millions each month and the refund dept. is all part of the business. It's the perfect crime!
FIRST: I urge everyone to itemize their bill each month.. I found 11 descrepancies on both my cell and land line phones. Our TV had 2. The Vietnamese channel, and an un-returned equipement charge. Verizon agreed both were erroneously charged, but couldn't issue a refund since it was over 3 months of charges! WOW! They literally stole money from us each month. They literally bank on people not scrutanizing their 10 page bills. Line by line. Even if the error was only $1.00 think of the money they would make. Now, think of the $12.95! Staggering!

FOURTH: Contact your legislators! Third party billing should be something WE sign up for, not something we need to
OPT out of. How can we opt out of something we don't have a clue about??
