To anyone looking at eating at the Rodizio Grill beware...

The owner George Chaposky is a liar and doesnt know how to treat customers..After calling him directly he admitted what they did to our family was wrong and it should have been handled a different way. He said he was going to have his wife send us something in the mail to have my wife, daughter and me back in as his guest.

He never sent anything and after 3 weeks of trying to call him and him not returning phone calls we spoke to corporate office.

I have also been a customer of his other restaurant The Melting Pot here in columbus Ohio and will never eat their again either. I cannot stand a liar and someone who admits their wrong then tells corporate another story.

After being upset and lied to I decided to see in the short time theyve been open if they have had any complaints..

Here is what I found on YELP in just 5 minutes..

I would suggest bringing a first date here if you are really hungry and never want a second date.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday a little late (arrived at 1pm).  Food was good...but not great.  Certainly not worth $20+ including an iced tea.  Also, the service was extremely slow when it came to drink refills and getting your check paid.  If the meat is the same for dinner, I can DEFINITELY say it's not worth it.

Went here for a birthday celebration. I've been to this type of concept restaurant before; this wasn't the best. Same deal as other places -- you get a little red/green start/stop marker for your table and they bring around various meats until you say stop. $32/plate including "unlimited" appetizers (we got 3 small plates, two of which were there when we started the meal, requested more of one and never received it).

The salad bar was plentiful and non-meat lovers could get a nice salad, pasta, and some Latin sides like heart of palm or ceviche. Ceviche was just ok.

The drink orders were taken right away, but we didn't get our drinks until mid-way through the meal, and mine didn't get there till closer to dessert, which was a bummer.

The meats, while decent enough I suppose, weren't really that fab given that this is their shtick. The potroast was my favorite, even though it was loaded with more salt than is probably healthy.

This is fun for a new "experience" or for kid/teenager who will find the whole singing/bongos birthday celebration but if you really want great Latin food there are better places in town... maybe not with this pseudo-Brazilian flair but definitely higher quality service and food.

3 words.... Don't  do it.

If you have ever been to fogo de chao, Texas de brazil or brazzza do not come here. If you are use to low end restaurants and customer service you will be fine.

To start the solid bar is half the size of a normal salad bar at other Brazilian steak houses. First bad sign was when they had a warm buffet with a baked ziti. Unmm never seen Italian food at a Brazilian steak house before. Then the service was incredibly slow. I had asked fir my meat med rare and At one point the basically said this is what we have. The meat had 1 taste salt. No unique or different flavors just heavy salt.

About Halfway through the meal the server spilled a full glass of water on me and the table. The manager was standing 2 tables over and I did not ever get a "I'm sorry from him". Nor was anything done on the bill for the poor food or service.

I would rather eat at one of the other places by the arena then ever eat there again.

***********  All I can say is it's sad when an owner has to lie ....

You're being entirely too dramatic

Okay...so you come into a restaurant and have a bad experience.  Coming from some one who has worked in restauarants my whole life, that means nothing to anyone.  Maybe start by explaining what happened?  Next, please understand that in the customer service world....it is always the server, manager, or owners obligation to tell you that THEY are the ones who are wrong.  I have been to Rodizio Grill twice since their opening in Columbus.  Both vistits were delightful, and the staff and food was wonderful.  Having worked in many different types of restaurants, I've found one thing that is a constant;  there will always be the select few that come in with the intent to complain and to get a quick hand out.  I have personally met George during both visits, and I can tell you this:  if your problem was that serious he would have completely comped your meal.  That's how restaurants work.  The fact that you never got your free meal ticket, does not make him a liar.  At worst, that makes him a bit absentminded.  You put absolutely no effort in making this review something people can learn from.  You went onto Yelp, and copied and pasted all the bad reviews.  I could do that for ANY restaurant in Columbus.    Next time you decide to get on a website such as this one and slander a man and his livelihood, you should do some research and have your own material.  Tchau!

Who's the liar?

Sounds to me like a disgruntled employee, probably unemployed as he seems to have a lot of time on his hands. Here's a tip, use that time to learn the diffences between they're, there and their. You sound uneducated and no one is going to take you seriously.

Liar?

How come in your entire report you didn't mention what happened to your family?

Not only that I actually took a look at Yelp and the only review that calls the owner(by name) a liar is by someone who says they live in Monroe Florida, yet according to this report you live in Hilliard Ohio.   So is it just an amazing coincidence that you and this person in Florida would post on two different sites on the same day posting the same thing, or are you actually lying about who you are.

I think I'll put my money on the later.    Perhaps you are an ex-employee, or even a competitor.
