I have been a member of Romance Pros of Tucson for 6 months. I paid $2495, plus still pay $29 for each match I receive. So far, I've had 3 matches, one of whom didn't show up. The sales pitch was excellent. In fact, I had gone to my appointment sure that I wouldn't join at that time. However, the representative told me that Romance Pros was different than other dating services, which were named and put down. I was told that I would be easy to match, there were "plenty of men in my age range", "plenty of men who would be a good match for me", and that Romance Pros uses personal match-makers who have access to a wide data base of singles. I was told that on the average, I'd receive one match a month. Sometimes I'd receive more than one and some months none, but on the average, one a month.  It was definitely a high-pressure sales talk, designed to appeal to the desire of many singles to find that someone special.

I was surprised when my second match didn't show up at the designated restaurant and I wasn't given a courtesy call. It was frankly embarrassing. I expected Romance Pros to be quite solicitous, but it was treated in a very matter-of-fact manner. I even had to phone them again to suggest that I be matched up with someone else right away. I told the same representative who had sold me the membership that I thought it was time to discuss refunding my money, since obviously I wasn't being easily matched. She was a little snippy said that I needed to give the process time to work, and assured me that there were plenty of men and that I was easy to match. But here we are after 6 months and only two dates.  Interestingly, both of the men said they were averaging one match a month...

I feel strongly that the representative mislead me. I don't feel that I have a personal match-maker, and for $2459, wouldn't you think I'd have gone out with more than two men in half a year?  I am no longer interested in Romance Pros and want a refund, but no response from the company.  I want to warn other people of my negative experience with Romance Pros of Tucson.
