I responded to a Craigslist used car advertisement for a 2011 Ford F-250 diesel powered pickup truck, under the guise of an official looking E-Bay Buyers Protection Program.  I was asked to send the seller the funds through a secure bank wire transfer process.  This entailed being instructed over the phone how to provide my bank with all the information necessary to successfully complete the wire transfer process.  The telephone number I called was:  888.927.4182.  Near the end of the conversation a veiled threat was expresswed to me re:  what might happen to me if I did not carry through with the money bank wire transfer.  I initially took it as a strong sales tactic but afterwards realized I felt palpable fear:  Fear of losing the vehicle, fear of being blacklisted from E-Bay, and even fear for my personal safety.
