Ron's Automotive / Ron Ammons Quoted me a price to repair my vehicle, promised to repair it for the price they quoted me, had my vehicle for 8 days, refused to do the work or put it back together, and now we have to pay them for l High Point, North Carolina

I am filing a report against Ron Ammons owner of Ron's Automotive and Greg Bess his employee. I called on 3/411 to get a quote for some auto repairs on my vehicle. Ron the owner quoted me a price and told me to bring it in Monday 3/7/11 he also told me that I would have the car back in a day. I dropped it off Mon as Ron said. I called later that day and was told that they got the part but it was the wrong part. So I was told that they reordered the part and it would be there on Tues but no later than Wed so I said ok..I called on Wed to see if they got the part they said no.



On Thurs I went up to the shop to see what was the hold up and they said we are still waiting on the part--this is day 4. On Thurs evening I call and they said they got the part in but it was the wrong part. They supposedly reordered the part. So Friday morning I called and I talked to Greg and he says well we can' do the car for the price that we quoted you we just can't do it so I said ok that's fine just put the car back together and I will come get it.



They were supposed to have it done by noon so my husband calls and then Ron gets on the phone and tells him off and threatens him...So later I called to see when the car would be ready and was told it would be ready around 6-7 but they still haven't put the car back together and now they said you can get the car but you have to pay us labor...mind you the car still isn't back together si I said I could have my insurance tow it and they said you are not getting the car unless you pay us 325.00 for labor..Today is Saturday and they still have our car and refuse to give it back. We are now taking legal action against the company and we are leasing the vehicle so it is not even our car.

they are scammers, liars, and they run a very shady business....

To all customers of Ron's Automotive,

    I am and have been a frequent customer of Ron's Automotive since the day it opened. I find that the business including the staff is a well conducted and pleasant environment. Have never had any problems with the work they have done on all of my vehicals " and I mean alot of work ." I have come to find in life you can't seem to please everyone I don't care who you are. With all that said I will continue to conduct business and refer all of my friends and family to Ron's Automotive. Thank you guys for all the hard work you have done. You don't deserve to be slandered.

Due to recieving the wrong part from two different vendors we were unable to do the repairs in the time frame suitable to the customer. We told the customer our only recourse was to get the part from the dealer at a much more substantial cost which would preclude us from doing the job at the stated quote. Customer asked to get the car back and was told that all we would charge them was some labor for teardown and reassembly - $325.00.
