2 DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING, ROOMS TO GO FURNITURE IN MORROW, GA CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT THE DININGROOM SET THAT I PAID FULL CASH PRICE FOR 3 WEEKS AGO, WOULD NOT BE DELIVERED TO MY HOME BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF STOCK AND THEY HAD AN ALTERNATIVE ONE. THEY TOLD ME THE SET THAT I ORIGINALLY ORDERED, WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNITL MID DEC.

I NEED MY DININGROOM SET BEFORE THANKSGIVING. THE STORE DID NOT TRY TO COMPENSATE ME IN ANY WAY, NOR DID THAY APOLOGIZE OR TRY TO MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR ME AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS FURNITURE STORE, THEY ONLY WANT COMMISSION. THEY KNEW THE SET WAS OUT OF STOCK WHEN THEY TOOK MY MONEY 3 WEEKS AGO AND TOLD ME THAT THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEM IN GETTING WHAT I PAID FOR TO MY HOME.

THE SALES PERSON LIED AND NOW I FIND OUT 2 DAYS BEFORE THE HOLIDAY THAT HE ONLY WANTED TO MAKE A COMMISSION CHECK. MY THANKSGIVING IS RUINED! THEY WAITED UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO TELL ME THIS, WHICH DID NOT LEAVE ME A WHOLE LOT OF OPTIONS, BECAUSE THEY KNEW I NEEDED A DININGROOM TABLE FOR THANKSGIVING AND THEY HAD ME BY THE BALLS. i WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE AGAIN. i WILL TELL MY FRIENDS NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ROOMS TO GO EVER!!!!!!

you must be proactive in situations like this. Just to let you know...it is physically impossible for a salesman at Rooms To Go to date an order for delivery if the product in question is not available for delivery on a specific date. The sales order software has a "fail-safe" in it that will not allow falsifying of delivery dates to mislead customers.

Your situation, although sad, is very uncommon. What must have happened is that when you ordered the furniture, everything was available, however due to unforeseen events such as damaged product in the warehouse or failure of a scheduled shipment to arrive in RTG warehouse on time, your furniture was unavailable at the time of your scheduled delivery. Would you have been less upset if they had tried to deliver a damaged dining room to you "just in time for thanksgiving"? At least RTG had the courtesy to call and say that there was a problem and offer an alternative. The reason that it was only two days before delivery when you got the call is that the issue probably wasn't identified until your order was being loaded on the truck (yes, trucks get loaded 2 days before the delivery date).

You stated that an alternate set was offered to you did you not? Why didn't you accept it? I know, you had your heart set on that one...right? You could have asked the store manager to approve delivery of the replacement set and then exchange it for the correct one when it became available.

You also stated that "it is all about commission"...this much is true, however your salesperson does not get paid until and unless the furniture is delivered. So basically he or she spent valuable time with you for no pay if the furniture never gets delivered. Your salesperson had absolutely no incentive to try to trick you into buying anything if it couldn't be delivered when you wanted it.

Your situation is rare...very rare and I do appologize for your inconvenience, but you seem to have made matters worse by not trying to work things out with customer service or the store manager. I have personally sold $1,000,000.00 worth of furniture in the past 9 months and this has never happened to one of my customers and if it were to happen, I wouldn't get my pay for all the time that I had spent with you as a customer.

You didn't get ripped off...you got steamed and seemed to make matters worse for yourself.
