well at first RTG was a place i didnt want to go to buy my bed but my g/f insisted we go to "look". next i know she opens a credit card and while we are debating on whether to buy it there or not and the salesperson tells us how are we paying for the delivery. i clearly told him we were still deciding on if we were staying here and he says "if you cancel the TRANSACTION it would ruin our credit"....HELLO "TRANSACTION" he just went ahead and started spending our money. so feeling forced into this buy we went ahead and purchased it never being told that the whole 30 day return policy was a load of crap. its really 48 hours F.Y.I. luckly my bed arrived in 48 hours.. i hope someone sees where im coming from here. so i spoke to the SM and he told me i can go and reselect a bed of EQUAL OR GREATER value. LOL NOT REALLY.. i tryed to explain to him i didnt want any buisness to do with them i am a manager at HOME DEPOT and i wish i could act the way they acted toward me to my Ahole customers. So i am still in a ongoing battle with them and finally have a sit down with the manager the sales rep my g/f and my lawyer to see if they will LEGALLY STEAL from me with my lawyer right there.if so next step is the court house....wish me luck...

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED THERE

If the salesman did that atrocity, he should be tried, convicted and hanged. You must NEVER give your social security number to any one, except when you have no choice: IRS, FBI, your income tax return; your bank. I even try to rent from my friends or friends of my wife. I won't give my SS# to a landlord or any real estate agency. I learned the hard way never to apply for a student loan. Never trust the government to give you disability. If the government demands it back, you have no choice.
They have your SS#. You must not give it out because these trashy companies will take you to a collection agency. Collection agencies have no right to sxist. Infinitely worse, the corporation turns your SS# to them, which you did not give consent to, because the company lied about the consequences of doing business with them. Usually, they will take refer your alleged debt to a collection agency with 5 business days. Really reasonable. If somebody owes me, I go at least 180 days and give the customer plenty of pleadings to work something out. I only go to court if I have been grievously wounded and the perpetrator will not be reasonable at all.
In other words, the algae scum salesman was bluffing. Even if he had your credit card {don't use them} or debit card { get through your bank and get the bank to change the 16 digit # after every transaction}, he had to get your signature on a contract of sale and safe delivery. In addition, the algae scum slaesman was lying because you will frequently be turned down any way for credit when you fill out one of those store credit card application forms. And, of course, if you don't buy, they can't force you to buy. Even if you buy, you can bring the merchandise back and they credit your credit or debit card.
But, what actually happened here? Was it in print that you could receive a refund in 30 days so long as the bed was undamaged and undespoiled? What was said by the sales representative and the manager in the presence of your lawyer? What did you tell your lawyer would be a satisfactory settlement to avoid ill will and what did your lawyer propose to the manager and the snottly salesman?
