Roomster.net False Advertising New York New York

Several months ago, I signed up for a trial subscription on Roomster.net. I did not knowingly sign up for an ongoing membership and related monthly charges of $29.95 to my credit card. When I received my March 2009 credit card statement, I noted a charge from Roomster.net for $29.95. I went to Roomster.com and attempted to log on to their site. However, the website said that my e-mail address was not in their system and thus I was unable to log onto the Roomster.com website to cancel the service. The Roomster.com website does not provide a contact phone number. So, my only option was to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. My credit card company provided me with a phone number and advised me that I would first have to call the Roomster.com phone number to attempt to cancel the service before the credit card company could take any action to stop any future charges to my credit card. It's clear that Roomster.net is a sham. A search of the internet revealed that many other people have been ripped off by Roomster.net.
