Please take the time to read this Before you purchase your car from this dealer. I bought a 2009 Ford Focus from Route 13 Auto Sales. the salesman Rob sold me this car. Now since I have had bad luck with cars I was reluctant to buy this used car. Howeve, Rob swore to me his mechanic looked over the car and there was nothing wrong with the car. I even bought the extra warranty for my own piece of mind.

A week later the car would not shift into reverse and was hard shifting after 30 minutes when I got it into reverse. on 10/15/14, I dropped off my deposit and told Rob about this issue and he said "let the car warm up". Now being that I know nothing about cars, this was unnecessary for a standard and indicated a problem. But I did not find out about that until later.

another her week went by and still was having issues so I called Route 13 and they told me to call the warranty company. I did and took the car in.

I found out out that it had a leak in the head gasket and something was wrong with the clutch. This is only after having the car two weeks. Driving five miles to and five miles back from work and out to Newark to visit my mother twice. I don't even think I put 300 miles on the car.

When I contacted them I was irate. They kept referring back to the warranty company and will not take blame for anything. So now I have a two week old car to me. Sitting in the shop in which I am responsible for almost $1200.00 of the work.

This is a $16,000 car loan and it's broken after two weeks and they will not fix it.  They sold me a broken car. Lied and swore there was nothing wrong. And now wont make it right.

AS IS!!!

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Friday, October 24, 2014

YOU purchased the USED VEHICLE as is. Which means that once YOU have driven it off the lot, THEY don't have to do ANYTHING for you. ONLY your warranty can save you. Its UNREALISTIC of YOU to blame THEM for YOUR car issues. We ONLY have your word that YOU ONLY drove it to see your mother. For all the dealership knows, YOU burned the clutch out due to YOUR driving habits. This is WHY you ALWAYS get a trusted mechanic to look the vehicle over BEFORE you purchase it. You MAY NOT know anything about cars, but there is that little thing called COMMON SENSE!! If YOU are uneducated in what to look for in a used vehicle, YOU take someone who IS!!! YOU are expecting them to make it right FOR YOU. Yet YOU fail to recognize that YOU want your way when THEY don't have to do it legally.
