Roxanne Teare was very unprofessional and rude on the biggest day of our lives. It all started months before our wedding day. We had a consultation with Roxanne Teare, and discussed in great detail our special day on May 12th 2007. We were very specific in what we wanted.

As our day approached we grew very excited an anxious, as a lot of planning went into it.

On the day before our wedding our caterer tells us that some flowers had been dropped off for the cake, but only enough to fill a tea cup, and that they were not Blue Roses as we had requested. My wife Candace had to run out to Safeway at 10:30 pm to purchase cake flowers!

We tried to call and email Roxanne all day Friday, and also Saturday morning the day of our wedding to try and find out what had gone wrong? On Saturday morning we went to pick up the rest of our flowers at Roxanne's home. When we arrived we were shocked to find two boxes of wilting flowers of the wrong color left on her driveway! My wife Candace was Shocked! and almost in tears!

As she fumbled through the flowers wondering what had gone wrong, Roxanne and her husband come out of their house. My wife Candace says to Roxanne " what is this? this isn't what was ordered" Roxanne snarls back at my wife " WELL THAT'S WHAT CANDACE ORDERED" My wife replied " I Am Candace" Roxanne didn't even remember what my wife looked like after sitting in our house for 2 hours only two months before.

We tried to speak with Roxanne after our wedding however she is ignoring all emails and phone calls from us.

I want to warn other Edmontonians about this so called business, and advise anyone looking for wedding flowers not to do business with roxyweddingflowers.com or Roxanne Teare. This was the worst experience I have ever had or heard of with a florist!

There seem to be many things that Roxanne admits to, so I guess we should believe everything else that she is denying right?

1. She didn't even recognize her own client because Candace wasn't dressed as a bride that day? Good point because I guess when she spent hours sitting talking with Candace in our home she was dressed as a bride right?
2. Flowers were laying on driveway in a box in the sun. Just where I would imagine most florist leave their customers flowers, while they sit in the house hiding because they know the customer had been calling for two days!
3. Fear in the eyes of the Brides Maids as they came up the driveway. Ya I guess the bridesmaid's (Candace's closest friends) wouldn't have a clue that Candace was upset because Roxanne would not return any of Candace's calls for two days.
4. We have photos of the flowers..wilted and wrong color for everyone to see.
5. We have several emails that were sent to Roxanne asking her to contact us before during and after our wedding.

I would like to conclude by saying that Candace is the most loving, giving, caring, and forgiving person I have ever known,she is a mother of a 3 year old, and a 11 mo old, and she did not have anything to do with posting this complaint. I am the one that did posted it.. she would have let it go, but I felt other Edmontonians should hear about this.

Also we would like to thank everyone else involved in making our day a great one as we are very very pleased with every other service we received, catering, photography, vehicle, equipment rental, and others.

This is Roxanne, and I'd like to take just a moment to defend both myself and my business. We all know how some brides can be, and I really feel I must stress that this complaint is untrue and unfounded.

I have never had to deal with a bride like Candace before, and I have had nothing but great reviews from all the other brides that I have worked with. If she had not included such personal affronts, using my full name, and my business name, I probably would have just shrugged this off as that one-in-fifty bride that really cant be pleased.

But I feel I should defend myself here. I work from my home, and I work only one wedding per week because I take a great deal of pride in my work; I will NEVER USE WILTED FLOWERS, and I spend hours creating each bouquet. It is a hobby of mine, and it gives me great pleasure to create a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I have pictures of Candace's flowers, and I have attempted to attach one to this message (if it was not included, please email me and I'll send one, or several of them to you), I would also like to challenge Candace to provide a photo of these so-called wilted flowers.

I'd like to point out that the following statements are simply not true, and entirely made up:
1. "Roxanne Teare was very unprofessional and rude" (I have never treated any bride with anything but respect, please ask any other previous clients)
2. "two boxes of wilting flowers of the wrong color left on her driveway" (yes, they were on the driveway, where I was working on them, in the shade on a sunny Saturday. No, they were not wilted or incorrect in any way)
3. "snarls" (I dont think I've ever snarled in my life, I'm really quite a happy person)
4. "only two months before" (We met 9 months before that day, I have the emails to prove it if you'd like to see them, and she was not dressed as a bride that day).
5. "We tried to speak with Roxanne after our wedding" (no, there was no attempt at contact, if there was I would have requested my vases back, which were not returned).

To finish, I must say that I'm not that surprised to hear this from Candace, as I guessed she might be one of those difficult brides when I saw the hint of fear in the eyes of her bridesmaids coming out of the van and up the driveway. I think I might not be the only service-person that ended up on the wrong side of a tongue-lashing that day.

Just wanted to update this report. We still have not heard anything from Roxanne Teare of Roxy Wedding Flowers. We still have all of the center pieces, and head table glasswear. I guess it is easier to just find the next customer than try to resolve any issues with previous customers. I guess that you can afford to leave glasswear and settings when you overscharge people for less than what was promised.

I hope everone considering this company reconsiders and finds someone else that actually cares about their clients. Thanks
