While on vacation in Cancun Mexico, we were scammed into signing the timeshare contract with Royal Holiday - we specifically asked several times if Disney was included and were told YES -
Once home, we tried to get on internet and couldn't - called to check and were told Disney WAS NOT an option and if it were, it would take far more points than we would have!
Tried to cancel - their contract says no reconsideration period, but Mexico law says they have to give a 5 day period -
They have charged my American Express over $13,000 and are still charging - American Express has not helped and keeps denying the dispute because we signed a contract - we have sent AmEx all the info we have found on the web about Royal Holiday being a SCAM and defrauding people out of thousands of dollars!
We have called and keep getting the run around - we were told to email "Jon" at Royal Holiday and tell him what happened - BUT - his email address was returned as no good!
We are submitting reports to all the websites we can find so that someone else may be spared the grief! We are also contacting PROFECO (Mexico's consumer affairs) and the attorney general.
If you have been scammed by this company PLEASE complain!! AND send your story to the news stations - especially ones like Dateline, 20/20, etc in hopes that they will call the people out on their deception!

Finally, after many letters, emails and complaints, we received a refund minus the "closing cost" fees of $995. We had to sign a statement and agree to remove any negative information about the company.
