I recently started receiving calls from RPM sometimes 4 & 5 times a day. I have answered call and explained that I am taking care of my debt with sprint through another company and that I would appreciate not receiving multiple calls daily, either mail me something or quit calling. I did not receive calls for a day or two then I started getting calls from 703-291-9040, it is same company.

the other day I recieved the 4th call of day, I could take it no more and answered and waited on person to pick up, a recording calls....when I told this male on the other end of the line that i had been in contact with sprint and that I had settled with a different company he told me I would have to provide proof, I told him that was not my job, he was the one trying to collect for sprint and that he needed to contact sprint it was not my place to prove anything to him........

I went on to tell him that I was tired of being harassed and was going to file lawsuit, he wanted name of my lawyer at which time I hung up.....I thought I had gotten somewhere but of course I was wrong the calls only stopped for a day and a half.......I fully intend to contact lawyer in regards to this company and their practices I get calls 7 days a week multiple times a day and am totally sick of this.......

While Steve gives good advice, it is not that easy. What you need to know is the FDCPA section 809 "Validation of debts" requires you to send in your letter of proof this was paid. Once this is process all the calls stop while they investigate this matter. If it was determined the money is owed, RPM will send you proof. If the debt is not owed, the bill goes away and it is removed from your credit report.

While people think all bill collector are rude, this is not true. RPM has an escalation department thst handles just this type on complaint. Their job is to reslove any issue you have. I would ask that you give them a try to help you in this matter. They can be reached at 888-838-5123.

Stephanie, a simple solution here!

Stephanie,

Under FEDERAL LAW [FDCPA] you have the legal right to STOP a third party debt collector from contacting you.

You MUST do this in writing and should use certified mail, return reciept requested.
DO NOT sign anything you send to a collector and do not provide ANY personal/employment/financial info. NONE. Just your name, mailing address and the number they are calling you at.

Put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This procedure is ESSENTIAL. It proves exactly what you sent.

Now, when these crackheads violate your LEGAL request, you can get paid!
You can get up to $1000 in punitive damages, plus costs.

Don't get mad, GET PAID!!

Have fun with these idiots.

And STAY OFF THE PHONE!!!
NEVER speak to any third party debt collector / bottomfeeder / junk debt buyer on the phone. NEVER!!!
