They did not get my security deposit check back to me within 21 days, it was d*mn near 57 days and out of 1000.00 they took 606.00 for Downey, California

This company charges you for a single 750.00, no problem, and if rent is late after a 3 day grace period its 825.00. When the people next door is paying 875.00 for a 2 bedroom. And had the nerve to call me cause my rent is late because my pay period did not fall between the first and the third to tell me that they can not accept my late rent anymore. Why do you have a late fee then? Paying 825.00 for a single.
So I said ok here is your thirty day notice. I moved out the end of April. May goes by and June 23rd I recieved my deposit check. You do the math.
1000.00 deposit and they take 606.00 out. After calling and calling the landlord about my check, she would not give me a straight answer on when I would receive my deposit back.
This is a shady company and nasty office worker Francis Torres has a nasty attitude, rude on the phone as if she was hungry or something.
I was supposed to get my deposit within 21 days..

Pay your rent on time

While I understand that the tenants next door paid $875.00 for a two bedroom, they paid their
rent on time and made full payments per their rental agreement.
It is recommended that when a tenant signs a rental agreement to pay $750.00
per month they should pay their rent on time and make full payments. If not, they are subject to a fee. In our rental agreements it states that "after 3 days a $75.00 late fee
applies". That is not only a clause in our rental agreements but ALL rental agreements.
This tenant did not pay their rent on time.
In fact only partial payments were made on a regular basis. RTI worked very hard to accommodate this
tenant but the partial balance continued to grow.
With reference to our office worker, she was only doing her job! Its not always easy to collect money when a tenant refuses to honor their rental agreement.
We value all of our residents. We only asked this tenant to honor their contract with us just like we honored their contract with them. Thank you!
