My husband and I married in Oct of 2003. We hire Rudy Rios, of Rudy Tone Productions to take a wedding video. The wedding was scheduled to be preformed outside, however the news forcasted for rain. When the time came for the ceremony to begin, so did the rain.

The camera man, Mike Hesse, failed to take cover or to bring a cover for his camera. The camera then got wet. We moved to wedding in doors and the filming continued.

The next day Rudy called us to tell us that the footage was ruined. The camera had gotten wet and the tapes, ruined. He told us that technically this wasn't his fault. He asked if we would like to re-enact the wedding. That would have been all fine and good if he could have flown all the people from out of town back in, and paid for our 10,000 dollar wedding again. He couldn't do it.

When asked if there was anything he could do to fix the tape, he said he would try. When we went in to see the footage, it was horrible. He had over a month to do what he could. We did'nt recieve our two DVD copies of our wedding until Janurary of 2004. Still horribly done.

When Rudy was apporached my my husband and my mother about a full refund and the terrible videos, we were told no. We were told that we could have had a partial refund and no video or the bad video.

My husband and I wanted some kind of memory of our wedding, however the 700.00 dollars that we paid was money down the drain.

Rudy told us this wasn't his foult, that it was an act of GOD. Well, GOD forcasted rain all day long and the week prior, so, why could'nt a professional videograper cover his camera for the most important day of my life?

Shortly after this event took place RudyTone Video Productions contacted the client to notify them of the situation with the video footage. Understanding the disappointment of the quality of the video, RudyTone Video Productions offered a full refund to the client prior to the editing process of the usable footage. The client understood that if a full refund was given editing of the footage would not take place. The client decided to move forward and offered footage of other family members video that was taken at the event to be used. RudyTone Video Productions incorporated the addition footage to accommodate the clients request. The client signed a wavier stating that once editing was performed NO refund would be given.

The client was completely award of the consequences of the footage not being as clean as she may have wanted and had an opportunity to be given a complete refund which was forfeited by the client.

Once the editing was completed and and a viewing of the final product took place the client decided they did not want the footage and asked for a refund. RudyTone Video Productions explained to both the client and the clients mother this was not an option after editing was preformed and reminded the client of the signed wavier. The client became upset and still demanded a complete refund.

RudyTone gave the client every opportunity to be given a complete refund but the client declined the option, therefore RudyTone Video Productions was completely reasonable in it's denial of a refund. The client was unreasonable in asking for a refund after work was preformed.


RudyTone Video Productions has been in business for over 10 years and filmed over 300 weddings this is the only client unsatisfied with the work performed.

RudyTone Video Productions uses ethical business practices and does not take advantage of clients as this report may allude to.
