This man Benjamin Hatooka with Rug Wash Inc ruined a 7'x9' antique Laver Kerman Persian Oriental Rug which he said he would pay me for and hasn't in 5 months so I assume it's stolen and he has stolen a 8'11 x14'5 perfect vintage Art Deco Chinese Oriental Rug. I have put his company, Rug Wash in for collection for over $15,000. 00 in stolen property loss to me.
This is a very disreputable New York/New Jersey company that I recommend you avoid at all costs. They will tell you lie after lie after lie and steal your property.

Rug Wash Inc 's rebuttal is Untrue
AUTHOR: - ()
SUBMITTED: Sunday, August 27, 2017
Rug Wash Inc. has printed a rebuttal with no basis in truth. I do not owe them any money. I have a receipt showing that I paid them every dime that I owed them. The contract stated that the freight to and from Rug Wash Inc. was to be paid by Rug Wash Inc. That was not my bill. They are using the excuse that I owe them money in an attempt not to have to pay for the rug that they destroyed by shearing it which had a $3250.00 value plus the $250 they charged me and I paid. I had no idea that the rug was destroyed as they would not release the rug off the delivery tuck until it was paid for with an electronic check in the amount of $1000.00. As soon as I saw it, I returned it. Benjamin Hatooka admitted that they ruined it and would pay me for it. And instead now he has stolen another of my rugs which is a perfect room sized Art Deco Chinese rug worth $12,000 which he will not return to me claiming that I owe him money. Benjamin Hatooka is a thief. I am not the only person who has had a problem with him. I am able to submit written proof that he has screwed people of their property and money many times. Here is an interesting story that ran in the New York Times in 2015 about this company. nytimes.com/2015/10/25/your-money/crying-foul-on-a-42000-carpet-cleaning.html

Client Did Not Pay for Cleaning or Shipping
AUTHOR: Rug Wash - (USA)

Rug Wash completed work on rugs for Mr. Rob Mosby including an overdye and luster wash (we also did a light shear free of charge). We shipped the first order to him via Explorer shipping COD, but Mr. Mosby declined to pay. Explorer informed us that they will no longer do business with Robert Mosby because he owes them money. Rug Wash offered to help and we paid for the shipping charge and we asked Explorer to release his merchandise.
Mr. Mosby then informed us to use UPS instead of Explorer for the remaining orders and that he would mail us a check for the rug cleaning as soon as he received the shipment. We sent him one more rug and we are still awaiting his payment. The other rug is in our shop until payment for the cleaning service is received.
Mr. Mosby has since posted that Rug Wash has “stolen” his remaining rug. As soon as we are reimbursed for the outstanding cleaning balance, we will ship him the final rug.
