I had gone to stop and shop and returned something without a receipt so they told me they could give me store credit or put the money on my debit card so I had them put the money on my Rush Card which had not yet been activated since I didn't load money onto it yet. So they told me they were  returning the funds because this transaction was not aloud so I said ok. They said you had to purchase the item on the card if you want the item to be returned on the card. However the failed to tell me that until the funds were returned, they were placing a hold on my card. So a few days later when my paycheck was deposited onto my card I was unable to withdrawl any money or use my card. They told me the customer service dept could do nothing about it they had to contact an internal dept which they could only do by email. They told me they would get back to me in 24-48hrs and I insisted I needed my money. I was told 3-5 days, then 10-14 then 30-60, then maybe in  a few hrs they could help. Everyone said something diffrent, and no one had asnwers. I managed to get a number to corprate and after 4hrs of being on the phone and flipping out on everyone and their supervisors they allowed me to access my paycheck. There should have been no reason to hold my paycheck. They also charge a bunch of bs fees. Look around for another card, theres many more out there with less fees and american customer service.

First of all I am sorry that such a situation happened to you.  As a Comumer you have to take personal responsibility for your actions.  It appears that the Customer Service Reprentatives at this company could use some training in Customer Service.

My comment on this complaint is that you tried to do something that should not have been done.  The Rush Card had not even been activated and had no history of transactions.  You should have called the RushCard Customer Service and asked if such a deposit could have been made to your card.

It is normal for such financial groups to hold the funds for disputes or money returned to the card.  When dealing with any such cards which are not Credit Cards you need to know all the details, restrictions,  and stipulations.  Essentially you caused your own problem!
