January 18, 2008 I paid for a new Snow White DVD set, but didn't receive the item. Contacted seller by email after approximately 10-14 days. Seller lestatenterprises aka Ryan McClain apologized and stated that he didn't have the DVD in stock, and he would send another title. (Fraud & lie #1 of many.)

I emailed him back and said that I already had the title he named, but an alternate title would be acceptable (Lion King). He emailed me back and said the item would be shipped, but it never materialized. I emailed to inquire about the item. Seller said the item was shipped, but readily agreed to send a replacement. (I didn't even have to ask for the replacement, so I'm sure the item was never shipped. Seller has no proof of shipment, either.) Another lie from seller.

That item was never received, and still no proof of shipment. He actually had the nerve to write, "I hope no one is stealing the mail." Another lie from seller.

I emailed seller, and he stated that he promised he had mailed the item, but he would gladly issue a refund. (This should have been a huge flag--agreeing to a refund, after claiming to send 2 items.) Refund never was issued. Another lie from seller.

I emailed the seller, and he responded that we should see the credit to PayPal account within 10 days. Credit never was issued. Another lie from seller.

Emailed seller. He said he was having problems issuing a credit through PayPal, and he wanted to mail me a personal check or money order. (This seller has sold thousands of items. That he wouldn't know how to issue a PayPal credit is ludicrous.)

I emailed seller, stating that I was not comfortable with a mailed refund, as I'd never received anything from him. A PayPal refund was requested or a cashiers check sent with a tracking number. He agreed, via email, but didn't issue refund. Another lie.

I tried to call him, but the number provided to me by eBay was disconnected, and a Yellow Pages search shows there is no record of the business in Salem, Oregon. Seller provided fraudulent information.

I informed eBay of the disconnected number, and the seller issued another number, which hasn't been verified as his. I left a message on the machine at that number today, but it hasn't been returned. The voice on the machine identified themselves as someone other than lestatenterprises or Ryan McClain. I asked the person to call me if they were lestatenterprises, and I stated that if the person was not lestatenterprises, I would appreciate being notified that their phone number was being fraudulently used. (Very likely.) A potential fraudulent act by seller.

PayPal has a deadline for filing refund disputes, and it has become apparent that the seller was simply stringing me along, waiting on this refund period to expire. Seller was very convincing in his emails, and I tried to be patient--hoping to receive a refund that never materialized.

I recently left feedback on lestatenterprises eBay forum, stating that item and refund were never received, and the phone was disconnected. He placed a response on his own feeback forum that the refund had been issued via PayPal guidelines. Obviously, it has not, and he lied. Interestingly, he did not leave negative feedback on my eBay forum.

I've googled lestatenterprises, since this experience has escalated, and have found others who either weren't refunded money or they received bootleg DVDs from lestatenterprises. I don't expect to ever get my money back, but this person should be investigated so he can't defraud anyone else. eBay policies protect sellers. I have filed a grievance with eBay, and they are supposed to be investigating. I'm not holding my breath.

I hope people are smarter than I was and don't buy from this guy. His feedback didn't look too bad, but that's because if anyone issued him negative feedback, he slammed them with retributional responses that were unwarranted. This caused the buyer to agree to change the feedback to "neutral."

In case this guy is using another eBay alias, it may be helpful for you to look for the following line in his eBay "items for sale" postings, "Please make every effort to contact us and resolve the situation before leaving negative feedback." Yeah, right...wait long enough so you'll never get your money back from PayPal or eBay. Stay away from this seller!
