I ordered a part from S and J on July 20th 2004. Scott promised that it would arrive in 5-7 business days. I agreed and paid over the phone. They took the money right away.

TWO WEEKS passed, and still no part, and no call. I finally reach someone, (after being transfered to three different people), and the guy tells me that he still doesnt have my tracking number, tells me to talk to "Bill" in tracking.

I leave Bill messeges, and finally call again to discover that there is still no tracking number. I get fed up and tell them that I want my money back. They reply with " We cant give you your money back because the shipper lost your part and we have to "PROTECT OURSELVES" and trace the package." " This could take between 7-10 days"

They tell me that they can re-order my part on Monday and say that I should definately get the other part in about 5 days. They also promise me a tracking number by Wednesday.

When I call Wednesday, no answer. I leave a messege. I call Thursday, no answer. Finaly Friday I reach someone and ask them where my part is. I tell the guy that if I dont get a tracking number by Monday, I want a refund.

I get a call on Monday with the number, when I track it, I find out that it was only sent out on Friday, not Monday like they promised, which means I will be getting my part 5 days after the anticipated date.

This really makes me mad, and it makes me wonder if S and J EVER placed the first order so I call and tell them to give me the first tracking number for my own records. Some guy looks up my invoice and says, "well, that part was never lost in shipment, it was damaged and so the vendor canceled the shipment."

So was it lost, or did the vendor cancel the shipment??? If it was lost, they still should have had a tracking number in the first place, if they placed the order.

I went online (the complaint station) and found 11 other people with almost the EXACT same stories as me, and I discovered that theres a pattern.

If you read each story closely, even another Rip OFF report for the same company which is posted on this site, S and J always replies with one of 2 answers:

" The shipper lost your shipment so in order to protect ourselves it will take 7-10 business days to trace."

-or-

"The part was damaged so we had to re-order it."

My story is similar to many others' and it is about time that someone did something to investigate these fraudulent practices!

I finally got my part a MONTH after I ordered it...WHAT A WASTE OF TIME for a USED part that was only $10.00 cheaper than a BRAND NEW dealer's part ( had I known ahead of time..I would have acted differently.)

I hope whoever reads this from S and J has the decency to accept that they are acting unethically, and not try to come up with exuses that will only make them dig deeper and deeper into the pit of lies that they have already created.

First of all--Joyce, I never once talked to you, and dont know who you are, so you are obviously getting all your infomation from a third party.

Second, I am a SHE not a HE,( you keep refering to a "HE") and I was the one who ordered the part. This alone shows that you have no idea what you are talking about, and who your clients are.

Third, I ordered ONE PART a left side fender for my volvo NOT THREE PARTS. I have an invoice sent to me via e-mail to prove that, since once again, you do not know what you are talking about.

If you are going to give a rebutal, at least rebut to the right client. Obviously you have so many unsatisfied customers, that you are running out of defenses.

I have contacted the NY attorney general's office and a claim is being processed.

****I SUGGEST ALL WHO HAVE BEEN CHEATED OR LIED TO BY THIS COMPANY DO THE SAME.

This individual ordered three parts from our company on this order. The part he had to wait for was a new refurbished part that was on backorder. The customer was notified of the time lag and was ok with that. He has since received the part he is complaining about and is satisfied. Also the other two parts on the order he received immediately. It would be nice to post the entire story instead of taking things out of context. Thank you for the opportunity to explain ourselves.
