In August of 2010, Safe and Sound Security Systems installed a security system in my home.  I had been promised a remote, it was not provided with the installation.  I was promised that I would receive one.  No one from the company ever contacted me to make good on their promises. Finally, I called the company and  made an appointment in October.  The workman was over an hour late, and when he called, he was more than an hour away, and still did not have the equipment.  I cancelled the appointment.  I made another one for a few weeks later.  This time the worker arrived shortly after his scheduled time, and spent an hour trying to install the equipment, only to discover that her had the wrong equipment!  The company never contacted me again to install the correct equipment.

In Ferbruaury, 2011 the equipment started to malfunction. I received 3 phone calls at 2:00 A.M. informing me that the battery was low...when I asked if they could fix the problem or tell me what to do, they said "no, I needed to call the company".  Which I did numerous times that day, starting prior to 7:00 A.M.

First they blamed it on a non-existent power outage, then I was told by Scott, one of the original installers, that the equipment was probably defective, and that's why the battery was low.  Several more phone calls, produced no assistance, and when I specifically requested a service call that day, before 5:00 P.M., I was told that the "worker in Columbia, SC with the  truck was unavailable (not answering his phone) and no one could come out!"

I requested that my problem, my dissatifaction and disapointment be reported to the owner, Rex Perkins.  To date no one has ever contacted me to resolve the situation. I want my installation and equipment and monitoring fees refunded.  The equipment is still under warranty, so if it is defective, as Scott said, there should be no problem with refunding my money.  Safe and Sound Security Systems continues to send me bills!

I am filing this report so that some other trusting soul is not ripped off by Rex Perkins, and Safe and Sound Security Systems!
