Safe Home Security failed to install a working home security system.  The system had to be disarmed for 2 months before a second repairman was dispatched to replace the unit.  It still did not work, and repeatedly came on and had to be disarmed. We continued to have the payment charged to our credit card.  I could not get the company to fix it, so I changed the credit card account. Then the company insisted that we pay them, and harassed us, but did not come as promised to fix the unit. The unit had to be disconnected from our phone line, which we did ourselves because they refused to come and do so.  

Quite likely, the defective units were fire hazards as we were smelling smoke until they we disconnected them entirely.   Although we never had working units, SHS says that we owe them $1600.  This is ludicrous.  If anyone wants me to join them in a class  action suit, there seem to be a lot of people with identical complaints.  I consider this company to be bogus and fraudulent.  On their website, the link on the bottom for "customer comments" does not even work.  There seem to be many complaints about them, including to the BBB.  

The company is very good at coming back with how they tried to resolve issues, but in reality, they only demand money but do not honor the terms of their contract, which is that they provide a working home security device. Ours never worked from the day it was installed and started calling the fire department for no reason, and continued to go off every few minutes such that it had to be disarmed every 12 hours by calling the company again and again, until we dismantled it.  

The last time I spoke with  SHS and they said they would adjust the bill and then said they would come fix it, the repair person did not come as scheduled, although i took a day off work and waited. There was no cancellation call, and no rescheduling call. Clearly, SHS did not plan on servicing our home security system that they installed because their method of making money is to scam people into paying for a service not received. I would warn anyone interested in their product and service to first read the BBB reviews. SHS is not a member of the BBB, but the BBB gives them only a C rating, which is pretty bad.

 It's sad that these people come to your door and scam you then ruin your credt after numerous phone calls to the company and being promised by one employe that they spoke wih the owner of the company and want to fix this, then the company fires that employee and everything that was promised never happens. services by this company should not be accpeted as they scam people and lie about what  the sales people that come to your door say and what they produce and do. when you call the company they double talk to you and don't want a peaeful solution to the situatioin that should have never been created .  The staff is irrisponsible and fraudlulent in what they are selling and any homeowner that see's them coming near there home should run.  As  a professional this comapny should not be able to serve anyone as they are only out to serve themselves ... The equipment doesn't work properly and when asked to close account due to a salerep's error they put the problem back on the homeowner when the problem started with them. Also the only bill adjusting they will do is to put you in collections to make this company see like they have alot of members don't use them run  !!!
