After meeting my 3 year agreement which I reluctantly signed with SafeGuard Security, I requested the service be cancelled as I could not afford it any longer. I had been diagnosed with cancer and haven't been able to work.

Safeguard Security suggested I suspend the service without informing me I was obligating myself to another year of service, after which time I attempted to cancel. I sent the letter of cancellation which was returned to me as the address included on the letter of cancellation, they provided me, was no longer valid.

After many phone calls to very unhelpful and uncaring SafeGuard representatives, like Shana Saunders, my requests to speak to management were denied or ignored. Lena Anori was suppose to call back with voice recordings which I welcomed. She never called back.

I wanted them to hear that I was not properly informed or handled when the original cancellation was trying to be placed. They mishandled my account into further obligations I could not afford as I explained way back in the beginning. With a little customer service skill, a representative could have offered a solution to this dilemma rather than stating over and over again "nothing can be done, you signed an agreement, it will be sent to collections" (A very deceitful slippery contract.)

I received a copy of the agreement I originally signed and my initials appear to be forged by the statement about proper cancellation. I would have remembered this clause as I was already reluctant to sign up for the service for 3 years but the sales rep basically scared me into it. As a single mother living alone with her children, this guy made it sound like I should just as well sign my death warrant if I did not take service.

I asked them to have a heart and take a hard look at this situation which they again simply replied, "Nothing can be done, it will be sent to collections,"

So after being a great client for 3 years, this is how I am treated. I will be adamant about letting every safeguard client near and far know about their deceptive practices.
