Safelite AutoGlass Problems haze build up on inside of Safelite replacement windshield San Diego California

I have a 1991 Lexus LS 400. While dring along Miramar Rd in San Diego in April 2015, the windshield was shattered by a golf ball hit  from the nearby golf course on MCAS Miramar. I took the car to the  nearby Safelite repair shop on Dunbrook Rd. in San Diego. The interior on the OEM windshield was clear and clean despite the age of the car. Same for all other windows in the car.

The windshield was professionally replaced in a quick and efficient manner. I was not given a choice in the replacement windshield. I assumed that Safelite would provide a good product. They had done so in replacing a windshield in a car owned by one of my sons in Colorado Cprings.

Within two or so months after the windshield installation, I noticed a white film building up on the inside of the windshield, but no other window. I tired to clean it  with bleach, newspapers, window cleaners, vinegar,  etc. I was unable to get rid of the haze. Nothing worked. I went to the Safelite shop. They agreed that there was a haze on the inside of the windshield. They gave me a spray can of Safelite window cleaner. The cleaner did not remove the haze. It just moved it around. The technicians said the haze was caused by the degassing of the plastics on the dashboard. I note again there was no such haze on the 24 year old OEM windshield.

After reading the Ripoff Report on GEICO - Safelite Glass filed on September 7, 2007, I noticed a strong similarity with my problem.  In my opinion, it appears that there is something wrong with the glass used in the replacement windshield. The haze becomes a serious problem with low sun angles in the morning and evening. It is actually a safety hazard because I cannot see out of the windshield. I all my years of owning a car, I have never, ever had a similar experience.
