Safety Solutions Plus ARE Deceptive & a Rip Off Internet

A representative from Safety Solutions Plus contacted our local fire department and asked us if we would distribute "free" refrigerator magnets to the citizens in our community.  The refrigerator magnets would be paid for by local advertisements.  After we signed a "Distribution Agreement," the owner, Ryan Nolan, called and discussed what the the magnets would look like and offered to send a proof.  There would be an area for emergency numbers, and it would include Maintenance and Fire Safety Tips.  Eventually, he did send a proof.  He also had a picture of our magnet on their website for a short period of time. 

Although they were quite vague and we were skeptical, We collaborated with one of the local businesses that contacted us to make sure this was legitimate.  The local businesses that were contacted were told, as were we, that 10,000 refrigerator magnets would be sent to the fire department for distribution.  Each business would receive refrigerator magnets as well for their distribution. 

Well, to begin with, the fire department received 500 refrigerator magnets.  I called the company and asked why more weren’t sent.  They said they would send us the rest as needed.  As of this date, one of the local business and I have been trying to contact the company for months, by phone, fax, and email with no response.  The local business tried to contact them to get 1099 info for their tax preparation.  Neither of us has heard from the company. 

Please do not fall for this scam.  The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department did not request this service; we thought we were helping our local business by distributing these magnets.  Our local businesses that paid for the advertisement on this magnet were Ripped Off.
