I have paid over $2,500 for a Da-Lite screen that I will never get to watch it on nor get the money back.

Back in June of 2007! I placed the order for a 109" screen for my new house.
After a few weeks I NEVER received my product so I call to see what was going on.
Their first story was that they were having a problem with their supplier.
So they offered to refund the shipping cost for not shipping it on time.

The second time I called they gave me the story of how there is still a back order of the screen and Da-Lite is not producing it fast enough.
SO I called Da-Lite's corporate office to find out if this is true.
Come to find out Big Screen Center has been having some financial problems with them so they are not sending out any orders from them.

When I called Bigscreencenter back they now gave me the story of how they are trying their best to fulfill my order from another vender!
Nothing but BS!!

After waiting a week I called again... and this time they told me to story of how they are in Chapter 7 and can't return my money until the courts allows them to do so.

After a few week called again to see the progress of the Chapter 7... at that time they offered me a choice either wait for a refund or substitute item from their website.
I asked to send me the product.  They said they would send it out ASAP...
This was Dec of 2007!!! 

After none of the items I requested arrived... I call again and this time they told me they are not allowed to exchange any items according to the bankruptcy procedures!

So I have been doing nothing but wait and call them....

But I am the fool for believing in them to do the right thing by returning my money.

I do believe that this company has from the start started out with the intent of defrauding the consumers.

Beware and bewarned!

It's funny how the same people that used to run Sageryder/Projector Lamp Center are also running Lamps and Screens LLC (The new company that ‘owns’ Projector Lamp Center, Big Screen Center and Mount Center).  Don't believe me? Do your research! Grant Hill and Brian Chambers are listed on Lamps and Screens LLC's twitter (@lampsandscreens) ALONG WITH the president of Stampede who just so happened to be the  MAIN supplier for the ‘old’ Sageryder/Projector Lamp Center. These individuals are ALSO following Projector Lamp Center on twitter as well - @projectorlampce. (Oh, and guess who ELSE is following Projector Lamp Center on Twitter? Steve Gross (the ‘old’ owner of Projector Lamp Center), Ashley Gross (Steve’s daughter and employee), Joe Burgess and Jason Prance who were both major players in the ‘old’ Projector Lamp Center.)  Also, while 2/3's of Sageryder/Projector Lamp Center's employees were screwed by being laid off after being told for months the company was doing very well, Brian and Grant (along with a few others) were chosen to keep their jobs but ONLY if they signed a contract containing a non-disclosure AND non-compete. If you go to Ripoffreport's website, the person who is rebutting all of the negative postings about Sageryder/Projector Lamp Center (also including Big Screen Center and Mount Center) goes by the name of 'Mark' but is ACTUALLY Brian Chambers. Oh, and just a piece of advice Grant, don't post your cell phone number under ANYTHING related to Sageryder (http://www.cheaponsale.com/d-c114084224789043600-sageryder_brands/). That just shows how dumb you really are.  Oh, and you can find Steve (who stopped going by Steve and is now going by Stephen Gross) at his new “company” ReadyLauch located at 4060 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite D334, Atlanta GA 30319 and the phone number is 678-894-7300.

Dear Sir, As I stated earlier we took over the company after the previous owner went bust. We can not help you recover your money from the previous owner. I can give you the name of the Trustee for the company bankruptcy and the name of the trustee for the previous owners personal bankruptcy, please email me directly at markw@lasollc.com.  None of the previous employees you listed works for us now, I can guarantee you that none of the current employees would ever give lie or give you the runaround, not if they value their jobs.  Since we took over the company on April 6th 2009 we have not had one complaint relating to business conducted after that date.

First of all... where is your contact info? You forget to leave you contact info for me to repsond to you.


I am a man of his word and expect the same from others. So it took me a long time to first of all find this wonderful website and complain. I have also filed out the formal complaint and financial restitution form faxed to me by BigScreenCenter.com back in Nov. of 2007. But so far I have not heard anything from the Bankruptcy court or from the company. Sir you stated the "I am a little surprised that you have just filed your complaint after so much time and your lack of detail and contact info has me concerned about the legitimacy of this complaint." Well for your info. I have been pursuing to get back my money from BigScreenCenter.com for the past 3 yrs with no such luck. I only get the run around from everyone. And since I live in California it's a pain in the a*s to fly to where you are to get my money.

Spoke with Megan 7-18-07 will refund the 2 day shipping cost Case #15812


company in chapter 11 don't know when check will be in mail.


9-10-07 sandra will send refund in thirty days by end of sept.


10-10-2007 Shawn said there is no refund yet because bankruptcy court hearing is still going on.


11-20-2007 Spoke with Shawn ext 122 - asked to send in a claim letter again. don't know when they'll be able to send a check.


3-11-2008 Spoke with manager about store credit but only was offering 80% of money owed. So I told them to send me a check instead.


Austin - 2/5/09 Be out of it by march of 2009 - Chap 11 Will have the female manager call to arrangement to use store credit. Manager never called back.


As you can see I have the names of all Customer servive agents I have spoken with and also the content of the conversation. Originally, I was offered a store credit back in March of 2008 but at only 80% of value. But when I called back again the next week another "supervisor" stated they cannot give out store credits because they are in bankruptcy hearing.


Thus, you can see all this time Bigscreencenter and even your new customer service people have only told me lies and run arounds.


SO Mark, if you are willing and able to resolve my case by sending me my money back then I will call it even. I will be looking forward to your response.

I had the same experience with BigScreen/Sage Ryder.  Ordered 2 projector bulbs in 2007 and they were never delivered.  I have the paperwork to back this up.
