On the evening of Monday, January 26, 2009, a young man named Nick Stuckey with Success Express Sales, Inc. knocked on my door talking about how he wanted to be a great business leader one day, so on and so on, and that as a reward trip for his schooling or company, he might get to go on some vacation if he gets a certain number of points based on what magazine you buy and how many issues you order.

Typically, I do not deal with these people, my husband does, and he finds it much easier turning people away. However, he was not available, and I figured, hey, I had been meaning to open a subscription to Rolling Stone for a while, why not help out the kid at the same time (even though Rolling Stone wasn't worth very many points)?

So I wrote him a check for $67, for 52 issues, got a receipt (that I do not see my signature on, honestly no idea how that got by me at the time!) and got what is probably not a valid phone number, as 1. I have seen another report on here about Nick Stuckey, and 2. I regret that I did not get an area code, just 493-9668, which is why I did not put it in the phone number field. (Mostly I rushed through his story and got down to business, as I am a college student also, and just wanted the subscription, and get back to homework, and getting more medicine in me for whatever bronchial junk I had going on at the time).

I thought I was being very responsible despite my state, paying by check, not cash or credit card, and getting and saving the receipt and a phone number, just in case, you know? But with school gearing back up, and my husband being gone, I was just not in the frame of mind to look it up when I had the chance to save myself. I am a very trusting person, but looking back on it now, I cannot believe I ordered a magazine subscription I probably would have been too busy to read anyway! The cold and cough meds, plus lack of sleep for school must have gone to my head. I feel like such an idiot!

Even worse, I am pretty sure he got others in my apartment building, and indeed complex. He put stickers on our doors, and wrote on the stubs to the receipts "Nick is back on top! Don't stop to knock!" to mark that he had been by and sold to those of us who bought already, so that others would not come by and try to solicit as well.

I know in the grand scheme of things, $67 is not so bad. But when you are in college and married to the military, you don't typically make decisions to spend any amount of money lightly, especially in this economy. I thought I was buying an ok deal, and helping out a kind young gentleman who works hard, and clearly, that was not the case. I feel just sick, angry, and violated that I let this creep into my home and sell me his tripe!

I am going to the bank tomorrow to see if there is any way to track the account that particular check was deposited into. I really hope I can contest this and get my money back. If not, lesson learned, and I am going to make sure everyone I know knows about it (FRG, school groups, anyone I can plant the seed with and have it spread quickly). I may contact a news station out here too, as this is a military and college town, and you just don't screw with military personnel and college students around here. I really wish I had thought to research the company immediately after the transaction so that I could have canceled the check right away, and screwed that jerk instead. But he was very convincing, and receipts are one of those things a person feels that he or she can trust for some reason.

Just so pissed off in general.

Ridiculous Assumptions & Irresponsible Consumer Reporting

Relationship:

Report:

PLEASE READ ALL TO GET FACTS & CONTACT INFORMATION
How did Maggie from Manhattan, KS get ripped off?  She thought she was getting ripped off because of irresponsible consumer reporting on this website and hear say. She came to this website and saw something anything and just assumed.  Again assumption and hear say slandering Success Express Sales and Nick Stuckey who has progressed in our company rapidly with hard work and determination.  Why not first use the information provided on the receipt and call the company or cancel within 3 business days for a full refund.  By cancelling her check she screwed herself and it cost her bank fees of $20 to $30.  Should feel pissed off at herself for being an irresponsible consumer.
Once this website came to my attention I felt compelled to give some FACTUAL INFORMATION to consumers who visit the Rip Off Report website.   I have read all 10 complaints regarding SUCCESS EXPRESS SALES, INC & PACIFIC COAST CLEARING SERVICES, INC. on this website.
Unfortunately all these reports are based solely on assumptions and hear say.  Every one of them  have been filed by irresponsible consumers.  It is this kind of irresponsible consumer reporting that slanders good companies based on assumptions and hear say. Please get facts and both sides of the story before you just jump online and do damage in our case to young adults doing something positive and improving their futures.
We would have liked the opportunity to address these situations in a professional business manner.   These consumer should have contacted us through our telephone number (1-253-851-8414 customer service) or mailing address (5775 Soundview Dr. #103-C Gig Harbor, WA 98335), provided on our receipts. or through our website( sesales.info ).  We could have appropriately addressed these situations and presented the FACTS.
This is a positive and constructive goal orientated program for young adults, over 18 years old, to  travel the country developing inter personal communication skills, gaining an education in direct sales and brightening the future of the youth of America.      Our representatives are in a contest selling magazines subscriptions to collect points to win a trip to Europe, a Carribean Cruise, or a trip to Australia and cash awards up to $5000.  The top two individuals in the contest every six months win the trip.  The cash awards are awarded in a separate contest in $500 increments.  Our business group, Success Express Sales, Inc., has been participating in these contests for over 20 years.  We adhere to a strict code of ethics and moral standards.  Our magazine subscriptions are cleared through the premier magazine subscription clearinghouse & customer service center, Pacific Coast Clearing Services, Inc.
In regard to the other issue in these reports filed:  1) These are young individuals who are working on their futures.  They are going to be inquisitive on your career, interest, etc.  They are trying to find their path in life and improve their futures.    2) The magazine term and cost are dictated by the publishers of the magazines. On any particular magazine it could be just a 1yr, 2yr or 3yr subscription that we are required to offer.   3) There is a $15 process & handling fee for each customer regardless of how many magazines are purchased.                                                                                                        4) If more than one magazine is purchased the customer can choose a magazine off of a list that Success Express Sales, Inc. will pay for.                                                                          5) If magazines ordered are paid for in cash they do receive bonus points.                            6) All contestants are instructed to obey signs posted and to represent our contest appropriately.
Success Express Sales, Inc. does its best to give this opportunity to good young adults searching for an avenue or a path to success.  We conduct general back ground checks and are very selective.  Occasionally an individual may slip through who is not up to our standards and these individuals are released immediately from the contest.
For any inquiries questions or concerns pertaining to this opportunity please contact us through the website: sesales.info , email: mike@sesales.info or 1-877-646-5050.         I believe this could be a fantastic information tool for consumers if used in a responsible manner.  However in these incidences these consumers where hasty in making  such quick judgements based on assumptions & hear say.
