Career Builders listed Dish Network, and how their affiliate program would make you $8,100 a month. I clicked the sales add and VMC came up.

What they promised, (after I purchased their $39.95 program), they would send me up to 100 visitors a day. They even displayed a chart showing that 2% of 100 visitors normally purchase. Here is the deciet and crime:

I joined with them Dec 8, 2008. As of today Jan 10, 2009, I have had 1629 visitors and no purchases. I think Rick Raham should take a basic class in Arithmetic.

I have sent several emails to them, and they have not responded. I will try again so I can attempt to get a refund. (as they so stated in a 60 day money back guarantee with no questions asked).

Oh Oh!

AUTHOR: D Railroad - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 12, 2009

Phil,

Just realized after my last posting that this guy you enrolled with, whom I believe is MyDishBiz.com, has "masked" his private information on "WhoIs.com." Since this is the case, the contact info for this person is:

Jeff Burkey
MyDishBiz/SeekBat.com
322 Virginia Ave.
Steubenville, OH 43952

If this indeed is the man, and it sounds EXACTLY like him (with his claims of untold wealth, which, btw, change weekly on CareerBuilder - the income that is), and if he is so successful at what he is doing (you can't expect to make a claim to have other independent contractors under your management making a fortune unless that is or has been your personal experience!), then why does he use a free email address (Hotmail), especially when most hosting packages come with a plethora of email accounts, and why won't he list a legitimate phone number (555-555-5555??!!!)?

Finally, by my disclosing his COMMERCIAL address above, there is no violation of privacy since he 1) indeed is a publicly listed company and 2) willingly discloses his business contact information (above address) in public listings (both national and local - Ohio business records, BBB, etc).

Again, Best Wishes and go Get 'Em!

Good Advice . . . check your sources

AUTHOR: D Railroad - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 12, 2009

Phil,

You are completely wrong in all of your observations. A little suggestion before you try ANY business venture: do a business plan, even if in outline format.

Creating a business plan will help you accomplish several things such as determining if the business you are considering is worth your time, if you know what it will take to generate revenue but, especially in this case and with respect to your comments, help you determine the source of the company you intend on representing or selling for.

Bottom line (again, using your comments as an example), VMC has nothing to do with the listing you saw on CareerBuilder.com, other than they should take greater care in scrutinizing or monitoring who represents them. The individual that you signed up with is simply ANOTHER affiliate "marketer" very much like you and I. The name of his little company (if you want to call it that) is (((Redacted))). I agree, his marketing tactics are questionable and I would go so far as to say misleading and therefore unethical.

As one of the other respondents to your posting suggested, you have the affiliate marketing concept backwards; YOU should be the one getting paid for selling for him ((((Redacted))). You can simply find out who and where this individual is located and fire off a scathing letter demanding a refund (USPS, Certified Mail with Return Receipt of course!). I'll leave that little job up to you - you've already received a plethora of free advice that many people would have to pay for!

Best wishes and, remember . . . that Business Plan (you will be surprised what it will open your eyes to . . . PRIOR to investing time, energy AND money in your next venture).

Know your facts!

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Phil,

You really should know your facts before you post something on the Internet. Raham (sic) hasn't worked for VMC Satellite for almost 4 years now.

The company is run by Terry Hsu and is owned by simplexity.com (formally inphonic.com)

Rumor has it that the new Satellite President Hsu has actually pushed everyone out of the satellite division that had experience and Dish Network knowledge. He has brought in his own group of people from other recently failed corporations.

NEVER pay to be an affiliate or for hits to your site. Rule #1!
