We called Sam's online on 8 Oct, 2011 and asked if we were to order what the delivery date would be. We were told 5-10 days, but usually 5 for white glove delivery. We placed our order and on the 18th of Oct called about the status of our order. We were told that it would not be shipped until the 21st. On the 21st we again inquired, this time were told if we had wanted the furniture earlier we should have ordered sooner. The customer service at Sam's online is horrible, and they blamed the shipping company - the shipping company blamed Sam's. It was a never ending game of he said, she said, but no one ever took responsibility so we contacted our local Sam's in Columbia, Missouri for assistance. After the Club manager spent a day on the phone, they promised him delivery by the 18th of Nov. THAT IS 30 DAYS AFTER
When the truck finally arrived, on the 21st of Nov, 3 days after being 30 days late, the company did not have the hardware to assemble the furniture. So they took up our whole afternoon unloading the furniture, taking it out of the boxes, and then reloading it. We refused delivery after they promised to mail us the hardware. We were done!
So much for white glove service... Our refund was still not processed 3 weeks after Thanksgiving. We had to do a chargeback on the credit card. Sam's does not care... no one has contacted us after 4 inquiries requesting a manager call us. Finally, we are glad to have purchased somewhere else after the ordeal, the furniture is very poor quality. And if this
review is allowed to post - beware the other positive reviews are likely written by Sam's online - we were told this by the online employees.
