I bought a Samsung LCD TV (LNT4669) from Fry's Electronics in Houston, Texas on Monday, Feb 25, 2008. Approximately four weeks ago my TV began to make a clicking noise before it would turn on. Now as of August 13th, my TV will not even turn on.
I researched the issue on Google and found several complaints against Samsung with regards to their LCD televisions - it appears the capacitors are faulty "the caps are pop'ing".
I called Samsung and reported my issue and the representative told me there was nothing she could do since my one (1) year warranty is up (only ~ 5 months outside the one (1) year). The only help she offered was to get me in touch with a "certified" Samsung repair shop. After calling this repair shop, I was informed that there was a minimum service charge of $100 to come out and inspect my TV. This was extremely disappointing being that I spent over $2,000 on this TV only for it to go out a little after the one year warranty.
The representative at Samsung was rude and not customer service friendly. I am disappointed in Samsung and would not recommend anyone to buy this product. I know in the future, I will be buying Sony.

Had the same thing happen to me. SHAME ON SAMSUNG FOR BUILDING THIS JUNK. and they say this isnt a problem. I bet they didnt record this issue or mine or the other few thousands they have been having, and they have the nerve to turn around and say that there is no reported issue with these televisions.
I HAVE RETUREND EVERYTHING I OWN WITH A SAMSUNG NAME ON IT AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM THIS RIP OFF OF A COMPANY, BUNCH OF IGNORANT JERKS!
