Samsung will not honor their settlement agreement to repair the defective capacitors in my TV.  They made a court settlement agreement so who o I go to now?  They verified the model and serial number was on the list and I have gotten 3 different dates as when the settlement repair offer expired.  They should honor the warranty regardless !

As I stated I was give 3 different dates for the expiriration of their obligation to repair my TV.  The first time I called they said the date was in March 2015 but my tv was on the list.  That people did not sound very certain so I called back and they said my TV was not on the list and the expiration date was in October 2015.  Then, the third time I called to clarify the information I was told my TV was on the list but the expiration date was 10 days prior to my call.  Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

You are incorrect!! They DO NOT have to honor it if its beyond the time frame in which the LAW gave them. They can and will only repair what they HAVE to. SAMSUNG is the company that put the TV together. There are MANY other companies that supply the parts for them to make a TV. Caps going out is SO EASY to replace that you average tech nut friend would be able to do so in under 30 mins. YOU can even take the TV down and have it repaired and submit a bill to them. IF the time frame HAS NOT expired yet then THEY have to pay the bill. If it has expired then its TOO LATE and THEY are NOT going to do a repair for FREE!!!! A day late and a dollar short to be honest. Ignorance of the time frame THEY have to work in is NOT a ripoff. THEM not repairing YOUR TV after the time frame has expired is NOT a ripoff. Odds are that YOU had a issue pop up and tied it to that recall repair in error. Even IF the information is correct its entirely possible that your caps have failed due ONLY to use. A simple power bump or brown out will cause electronics to malfunction. So through NO PART on Samsung YOU have a product failure and EXPECT that Samsung is going to "Do the Right Thing" by YOU, all the while its NOTHING but YOU scamming THEM for a free repair. The recall repair dates would be ONLINE as an announcement and will give VERY SPECIFIC DATES in which to get your TV repaired. If YOU are beyond that time frame then there is NO HELP!!! Kinda selfish of YOU to demand that Samsung as you put it......HONOR THE WARRANTY REGARDLESS!!!! Would YOU personally put out money that YOU don't have to legally?? Be honest, YOU wouldn't. WHY you would expect that Samsung is going to go out of their way to do a free repair that YOU wouldn't do yourself. Just because its a company doesn't mean that THEY are going to let EVERY person who has their product FLEECE THEM!!! It may not be "fair" but it IS legal and THAT is what Samsung has to go by and NOT your demand that they fix it for free. Judgment or not its NOT THIER RESPONSIBILITY if YOU are beyond that time.
